VR Mall
VR Chennai is located on Jawaharlal Nehru Road in Anna Nagar West, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This mall was opened to the general public on 18 June 2018, occupying a 1,840,000 square feet built-up area with 1,000,000 square feet of retail space. The central portion of the mall consists of motifs themed on the Dashavatara, the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu in the form of murals and installations painted by artists from Cholamandal Artists' Village. A 400-kg bell has been installed at the height of 10 feet at the doorway of the mall. The mall has 240 retail stores. Other mall features include The Hive, a 50,000 square feet co-working space; 'Madras House,' multiple dining facilities; a 10-screen multiplex theater and a happening area; an open-air amphitheater; a boutique hotel; and services residences. The mall plays host to live music on weekends at 6:00 pm. It also hosts a farmer's open-air market every Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.
Express Avenue
Express Avenue could be a shopping center in Chennai, promoted by Express Infrastructure, an Express Newspapers Pvt. Ltd division. It is home to the most famous gaming arcade in South India, built at ₹7,500 million; the mall covers 1,750,000 sq ft, including 900,000 sq ft of retail area. Express Avenue hosts a combination of shopping, business, and leisure. The mall is bounded by Whites Road, Woods Road, and Patullos Road and includes a three-level basement parking zone. The mall was inaugurated on 26 May 2010. E Hotel, a 44-room four-star boutique hotel, was built in the mall at a value of ₹ 300 million. The 50,000-square-foot food court, EA Garden, has 25 counters with several food and beverage options. Fun City, a prominent attraction of the mall, is a play area for kids. The business chamber is the first such marketing space to be built inside a mall in India. In April 2017, the center launched the customer assistant robot EA Bot within the mall.
Phoenix Market City
Phoenix Market City is a shopping center developed by Phoenix Mills Limited, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was opened in January 2013, and It was the largest mall within the city and was the fourth largest mall in India in 2018. Phoenix mall features an 11-screen theater and also ChChennai'sirst IMAX screen. It's part of} a development that has a premium residential space as part of phase I. Phase II development includes a luxury mall called Palladium and residential space. Palladium Mall, the first luxury and premium luxury retail and entertainment destination of Chennai, was launched in 2008. itit'slso located within the same compound of Phoenix Marketcity Chennai. Palladium includes a leasable area of 220,000 square feet and 86 stores as of now.
Forum Vijaya Mall
Forum Vijaya Mall is a shopping center located in Vadapalani, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, developed by Prestige Group. This mall has approximately 650,000 square feet of retail space. Over 100 shops occupy its four floors. This mall distinguishes itself by housing Chennai-based brands like Spar Hypermarket, RmKV, Lifestyle, Max, Marks & Spencer, etc. It is also home to SPI CiCinema'salazzo cinema and an IMAX screen. Forum MaMall'sood court is named Via South which indicates that most of the food stalls here have a southern blend into their food.
Ampa Skywalk
Ampa Skywalk is a mall located at Aminjikarai on the banks of Cooum River at the junction of Poonamallee High Road and Nelson Manikkam Road. With three floors of retail space, the mall has outlets for significant clothing and apparel brands, a seven-screen cinema, a games zone, and a food court. The mall is constructed on a three-acre plot, with a section of 650,000 square feet features a three-level retail space of 315,000 sq ft. 22 shops were opened on the launch day, with the rest opening in phases. There is a 25m skywalk connecting the ticket boxes to the theatres. The food court within the mall, named F3, can accommodate 650 persons. The mall also includes a 10,000 square foot gaming area and a 20-room boutique hotel run by Auromatrix Hotels. The mall has an eight-level parking zone that can accommodate approximately 1,000 cars and 1,000 two-wheelers.
