Top 5 preys who can defend themselves from predators

It is normal for animals to run or fight whenever they face something wrong or danger coming to them. In fact, most of the time, animals live in danger compare to humans. While living in the jungles or wide vast areas, predators usually dominate the prey. But today, we will know about some prey who can defend themselves and make their predators seriously damaged or fly in the air.

1. WARTHOG

warthog is a small wild animal who basically dig holes for their living and tries to hide from potential predators. They always try to avoid running while predators endanger them. To protect their babies, there is no other choice but to fight. Pair of tusks of warthogs are highly dangerous for predators.

With those sharp tusks, they can strike the predators that predators can die within a moment. They will fight not to protect themselves but to protect their babies and families. They can run fast toward the predators and use their jaws to hurt predators. They will continue doing it, hoping that the predators will leave them alone. They usually don't stand a chance, but it is their only chance to save their beloved one.

2. ZEBRA

zebra is one of the favorite targets of predators. They are usually easy targets, but the fully grown zebras are very difficult to kill. Their teeth are really sharp, and bites can cause huge damage. They have a powerful kick and capable of killing a lion with a single kick.

Predators usually target the baby zebras or injured ones. Zebra lives in a group to protect themselves from predators. Black and white stripes of zebra make it harder for predators to find the injured and baby ones.

3.GIRAFFE

Giraffe is the tallest living animal in the world. Due to their size, it is difficult for predators to attack them and kill them. It is challenging to bring down a giraffe; only a group of lions can do so. Baby giraffes are very vulnerable to predators. Their only chance of survival is to stick to their mothers.

With their strong kick, they can easily kill lions and other predators or get relief from danger. Nevertheless, they are tough to bring down.

4.BUFFALO

Buffalos are other easy targets to eat by predators. The primary predators of buffalos are lions. They are a lot more vulnerable and only can run at a slow speed of 57km per hour.

But it does not mean that predators can easily kill them. They have a strong, powerful, and muscular body with long and sharp horns. With those horns, they can launch their predators into the air and thus can kill them. Their sharp horn even can stab their predators. Buffalo is also a social animal and lives in a group of pride consist of more than 100. If a lion enters their pride, it might end up with death.

5.GAZELLE

Gazelle can run fast to escape predators, but sometimes they are found fighting back with predators. Gazelle has a long sharp horn that can stab a predator easily. Their defense mechanism is so strong that predators might end up hurting themselves—one wrong move of a predator, game finish. 

Gazelle is also a social animal living in a group. They use each other for remaining safe from predators, to give each another enough time to escape.
