THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The Great Wall of China was built across the historical northern borders of ancient Chinese states and imperial china. Many walls are constructed as early as 7th century BC. Later joined together by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. The Great Wall of China was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

The total length of the Great Wall of China is, 21196.18 km.  There are 15 strategic passes from the east to west. It took over 2,000 years to construct the great wall. Different materials like uncut stone, wood, and tamped earth are used to build the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China was considered as the greatest cultural icon.

 

FORBIDDEN CITY

The Forbidden City was constructed from 1406 to 1420, it was located in Beijing, China. It was an imperial palace complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City took 14 years to built  by 1,00,000 workers and 100,00 craftsmen.

It has the largest and best preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. The Forbidden City is constructed in European and Arabic style. There are about 9,999 rooms in the palace at the Forbidden City. Birds cannot land on the roofs because the roofs have a special design.

 

THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN

The Temple of Heaven is an imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of Beijing. It was visited by the Emperor of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to heaven for a good harvest. It was described as a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design.

Temple of Heaven was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 1998. There are 8 major buildings in Temple of Heaven they are circular mound altar, imperial vault of heaven, altar of prayer of good harvest, divine music administration, palace of abstinence, the hall of imperial zenith.

 

WEST LAKE

West Lake is a fresh water lake in Hangzhou, China. It is divided into 5 sections. There are many temples, gardens, and artificial islands within the lake. The following are the most famous ten scenes, Lotus pool in summer, Moon over the peaceful lake in autumn, lingering snow on the Broken Bridge in winter, viewing fish at flower pond, Three pool mirroring the moon, Music fountain of west lake.

The lake was surrounded by pine-forested mountain and this lake was separated by two long causeways.

 

 NATIONAL FOREST PARK OF CHINA

It is located in Hunan Province, China. In 1992, it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most beautiful geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations are seen all over the park. There are many wild animals living in the mountain.

This National Park is home to the world's longest glass bridge. The best time for visiting is April and October. This city has the largest cable car ride. The park features tall peaks, amazing waterfalls, beautiful fauna and flora and unpredictable climate. About 97% of the area is covered with vegetation. There are 720 species and 102 families. Overall,  there are 560 attraction sights to view
