Myths about food, health, and nutrition always dominate some people eating habits. Due to these, people start dieting and following the myths when they heard about the problem.

1. Myth:- Canola oil unfit for Human Consumption
Fact:- Canola oil has been mistakenly labeled as one of the causes of diseases such as respiratory distress, emphysema, anemia, constipation, blindness, etc., on animals and humans. This is because it is often mistaken for rapeseed oil that contains a high level of uric acid and is not safe for human consumption. While Canola oil has been devloped from rapeseed, its uric acid content is reduced highly to trace level.
After many animals and humans, nutritionists have done tests, and scientists finally concluded that canola oil is safe to use and will not be harmful for human consumption. At the same time, canola oil is benificial for treating heart disease and is recommended by The National Heart Foundation as healthy oil for cooking .
2. Myth:- It's essential to drink glasses of water every day.
Fact:- By this fact, we agree, that yes our body does need plenty of water to remove body wastes every day, and athletes need the most, but there is nothing magical about 8 glasses of water. One should not forget that we also consume beverages and food, so it is not compulsory but just a myth .
3. Myth:- All fats are bad for you.
Fact:- fat is not always bad. There are some healthy and essential fats for good health and growth. Healthy fats include monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These can be obtained from - nuts, seeds, olives, avocados, canola, etc. They also include omega -3 fatty acids found in linseeds, soybean, dark green vegetables, oily fish, etc. Healthy fat decreases cholesterol levels, heart disease, blood pressure, etc. So all fats are not bad for humans.
4. Myth:- Mushrooms are a good source of vitamin B12.
Fact:- Most of the people believe that mushroom is the only source of vitamin B -12, but the fact is that they do not contain significant amounts of vitamin B12. It is found mostly in animal origin food, so vegetarians should ensure to include foods fortified with vitamin B12 .
5. Myth:- Skipping breakfast helps you lose weight.
Fact:- According to the fact, skipping breakfast does not help in losing weight. At the same time, research shows that people who skip meals have a higher body weight than those who regularly eat breakfast. This is because they could not burn much energy during day time,50 and due to overeating, their weight is much compared to others. And are less nutritious and have far more kilojoules than a simple bowl of rice.
