No doubt, there are many places on earth, which make us wonder whether this can surprisingly happen. Our Earth is blessed with some impressive natural spectacles and stunning man-made wonder, which is truly a mystery in itself.
Several exceptional places on earth, which are unique, strange, mysterious, or special in various ways have many unknown mysteries.
These places have challenged archaeologists, scientists, and other researchers to gather knowledge and information about them for ages. Still, no one in the world has been able to understand the mysteries to date.
1. The Bermuda Triangle, Atlantic Ocean
The Bermuda Triangle is the most famous mysterious place in the world. This area of about 500,000 square miles sits in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean in which ships, planes, and people without proof have mysteriously vanished. More than 20 planes and 50 ships are said to have mysteriously vanished without explanation. That’s why it is also known as Devil’s Triangle.
Some say there are magnetic anomalies that throw compasses off course, and some say there’s simply no mystery at all! Today, visiting the area can be much more pleasant than you might think, with the sun-splashed islands of Turks and the coves of Bermuda in the north. If you have ever had a chance to visit this place, you will wonder by nature.
2. Crooked Forest, Poland
Close to the small town in West Pomerania, Poland, is located an unusual forest where each tree is bent at its base. It has been named the Crooked Forest as the pine trees grow from the base with a 90-degree sharp bend, and then curve back to grow straight up. Irrespective of their curves, the trees are mostly healthy and grow up to 50 ft tall. Several hundred pine trees were planted there in the 1930s.
Of course, the J-shaped trees have attracted a lot of curious visitors and several theories have been come up to prove why the pine trees are like this shape. Some believe that a technique or human tool was actually used to make the trees curve this way, while others speculate that a winter snowstorm or some other damage could have given this fascinating forest its interesting shape.
3. Devil’s Bridge (Germany)
There are many places around the world that have been named “Devil’s Bridge” due to some sort of supernatural connection, but the most famous one is located in the German town, the parabolic bridge dates back to the 1860s and is one of the most stunning bridges in the world.
It forms a perfect circle with its own reflection in the water below. The bridge is best visited during the fall, when the foliage adds an element of wonder to the already surreal view.
4. Door to Hell (Turkmenistan)
Almost 50 years ago, a gaping, burning crater opened up in the desert of northern Turkmenistan. The Crater, also known as the Door to Hell or Gates of Hell, is still burning today, and at night its glow can be seen from miles away.
The crater is thought to have been created by a Russian natural gas drilling mishap in which engineers set the area on fire to stop the spread of dangerous gasses, unaware kilometers the fire would burn.
5. Fairy Circles (Namibia)
Fairy circles are striking regularly sized and spaced, bare circles surrounded by grasses that occur over thousands of square kilometers in Namibia
Scientists have many theories, including creepy crawlies like sand termites, recent research seems to indicate that the pattern is created via plants competing for scarce water.
