1. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan

Located in the Indian state of Rajasthan, the Bhangarh Fort dates back to the 16th century. During Bhagwant Das's reign, the town was founded to house Madho Singh, his second son. The walls and the fort are in good condition.

Legends:

 According to legend, a sadhu lived within the fort area, and according to his injunction, any house built in the precinct of the fort should not be taller than his own, and if the shadow of any such house fell on his house, it would result in destruction of the fort town. When columns were added to the fort that cast a shadow on the sadhu's house, the result was destruction of the fort and surrounding towns.

According to another tale, a priest who was a practitioner of black magic fell in love with a beautiful Bhangarh princess with many suitors. One day, the priest followed the princess to the marketplace and offered her a love potion. However, she refused it, throwing it onto a large rock that consequently rolled onto the priest and crushed him to death. Before he died, the priest cursed the entire village, condemning it to destruction and desolation. She rejected it, though, and threw it onto a big boulder, which tumbled over the priest and killed him. The priest cursed the entire community and doomed it to ruin and despair before he passed away.

2. Kuldhara Village, Rajasthan

In the Rajasthani district of Jaisalmer, Kuldhara is an abandoned village. It was founded in the 13th century and was formerly a rich village where Paliwal Brahmins lived. It was abandoned by the early 19th century for unknown reasons, whether due to an earthquake, a declining water supply, or, according to local mythology, the atrocities committed by Salim Singh, the minister of Jaisalmer State. Due to Kuldhara's renown as a haunted location, the Rajasthani government chose to make the place a tourist destination in the 2010s.

Legends:

The story goes as follows: Approximately 1,500 Paliwal Brahmins, who have lived in this village in peace and happiness for more than five centuries, once called it home. However, the whole population—85 villages included—vanished in the middle of the night one night, leaving behind a curse that still remains there. No one is aware of their leaving location. People have been wondering about the possible cause of the people's unexpected absence for ages.

There are rumours that the terrible prime minister, Salim Singh, who was well-known for his evil collection of taxes methods, fell in love with a Paliwal Brahmin girl and chose to marry her against her will. Salim Singh stated that to punish the village even harder if the marriage failed to pass ahead. The locals asked for for some time, but instead of saying "yes," they abandoned their homes for the night. However, they cursed the settlement such that no one could ever live there after they passed away. According to some accounts, the Paliwal community was forced to leave and just vanish from the ruler's control as a result of the high taxes imposed upon them. The community is still faithful to the curse even after so many years of this disaster when the Jaisalmer people attempted to stay here but were failed.

3. Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal

Both beautiful and deadly is the Dow Hill. Here, paranormal activity never stops, day or night. Visitors to the area feed their eyes on the area's natural beauty and their ears on the terrifying stories connected to the numerous haunted locations.

The school is surrounded by creepy vibrations from the forest. During the winter break, which goes from December to March, the school is closed, and the neighbours report hearing footsteps and loud whispering.

Because of this mysterious occurrence, Jatinga gained the strange name "Bermuda Triangle for Birds." For years, people have been afraid of certain nights because they believe that there are evil spirits nearby.
