Top 5 most Epic Battles in the history of Superhero Movies

In recent years, superhero movies have become very popular among people all around the world. Major companies making superhero films such as Marvel, Sony, Disney, DC Comics, etc., have grossed huge amounts of money by making superhero films with advanced VFX technologies that literally make the viewers live the movie rather than just watching it.

These movies are usually popular and trending worldwide because of the action sequences flawlessly choreographed and played by popular actors who work very hard on their body structure to fit their roles. These scenes are also important as they bring out the superheroes' ‘super’ aspect, showing their superpowers using heavy CGI. Here is a list of the top five best fight scenes in the history of superhero movies.

1. Iron Man vs. ThanosAvengers: Infinity Wars is one of the highest-grossing movies in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse (MCM). This film introduced many new aspects in their superheroes, and one of these aspects portrays Iron Man’s new suit, the Mark 50 armor. This suit was built out of nanotechnology by Tony Stark, one of the most genius characters in the MCM played by Robert Downey Jr. This suit was completely built out of nanoparticles and could change its shape on Tony’s command. He used this suit to go against Thanos, a ruthless titan obsessed with bringing balance to the universe by disintegrating half of all lifeforms.

Although Stark lost the fight against Thanos even with his most advanced armor, Iron Man fans still watch this movie because they are fans of that specific scene. The scene had many visual effects added to it, making everything look realistic to its peak. Added to that, the storyline in that scene where Tony literally uses all his heavy-duty weapons and the fact that his suit had a healing system to heal all his wounds after his defeat was exciting and admired even today the film in 2018.

2. Superman vs. SteppenwolfJustice League, directed by Joss Whedon in 2017, was a pretty popular movie back then, but it did not really do well for a long time. The original movie was actually made by Zach Snyder, who was later released in March 2021 as ‘Justice League: Snyder’s Cut.’ Though the film did not have very advanced visual effects, it performed way better than its predecessor. The fight at the climax of the movie is between Superman and the antagonist Steppenwolf. One major difference in the fight scene between the two movies is the suit of Superman. In the Snyder’s Cut,

Superman wears a black version of his suit, specially designed to heal him more as black color attracts more sunlight. Unlike Whedon’s version of the movie, the Snyder’s Cut actually shows the real strength of Superman where he ends up taking a blow from Steppenwolf’s ax without inflicting any damage to his suitor to his body. This scene still has many audiences and fans worldwide, making it one of the most epic battles in history.

3. Spiderman vs. VultureThe first Spiderman movie from the side of Marvel had one the most epic climax battle scenes in the history of Spiderman movies. Vulture is a very popular villain in the comics, and fans actually love the fact that Michael Keaton (who formerly played the role of ‘batman’) got to play a role in the movie. The final battle was completely airborne, revolving around an airplane carrying very high-tech goods from the Stark Industries that the Vulture wants to steal. Still, his attempt is interrupted by Peter Parker. The action sequences in the scene are massive, and the most interesting part is that Peter does not have his own

Spiderman suit (that Tony Stark made him when he went against Captain America) in this fight. Rather, he uses his self-made simple suit that does not have any special abilities. In the end, he does get overpowered by the vulture. Still, after defeating peter, his suit gets destroyed, and it exploded, landing its owner on the ground as a normal guy with no superpowers and thereby giving peter the upper hand in the battle.

4. Batman vs. Superman - After the release of Man of Steel in 2013, fans were way more hyped to see the fight between Batman and Superman rather than watching Man of Steel 2 and the 2016 sequel of the film, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice did not disappoint fan at all. Even before the movie's release, people were speculating about how the bat of Gotham would go up against the son of Krypton, as the primary superpower of Clark Kent is his super strength. In the epic battle, Bruce wears his metal armor but still got heavy injuries at the beginning of the fight. But, then the game changes when he used his kryptonite gas bullet. When Bruce got the upper hand, fans were overwhelmed and watched in immense excitement as Superman got beat up by Batman. In the end, Batman gets to defeat Superman and is about to kill him with his kryptonite spear when Lois comes to Clark’s aid, and he gets to explain the situation to Bruce. The scene is still loved by fans worldwide even today.

5. Captain America vs. Thanos - After the success of Infinity Wars (where Iron Man fights Thanos), Marvel decided to release the next installment in the Avengers series the very next year. Avengers Endgame was an immense success in 2019, and it had multiple fights. Still, the two most iconic fights in the movie are Captain America 2023 vs. Captain America 2012, and the other one got fans mad worldwide. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America manages to move Thor’s Mjolnir to a slight bit, but in this movie, he uses it to go up against Thanos. Fans loved the combination of Mjolnir and Captain’s shield going against Thanos and not just that; he even manages to use lightning like Thor to beat Thanos. Even though Thanos defeated Captain and broke his shield, fans still believe that Captain did make Thanos bleed to some extent as Tony Stark did in Infinity Wars.

This was the list of the top five most epic battle scenes in the history of superhero movies. There are many more such epic action-packed scenes that don’t have anything less than the above-mentioned ones. Still, being a fan, these are my personal favorites. The favorites of most other fans worldwide added to the epic battles that are to come into existence in superhero movies.
