1.Steam: Tightness of nose and sinus are common symptoms of flu. If you are suffering from tightness, steaming can give you relief. The heat of steam loosens the phlegm or Islam, while moisture provides relief from the dry nasal tract.
- Take a hot bath which helps in relieving tightness easily. Let the water heat up to bear and let the steam spread in the bathroom. If heat makes you feel weak or dizzy, keep a plastic chair or stool close to you.
- When you take a bath and go out, dry your hair and body properly. Wet hair reduces body heat, which is not good for you when you are sick.
- You can also steam by filling your bathroom sink with hot water and facing you. You can wrap a towel over your head and take the steam in. You can also add a few drops of essential oils such as tea tree, eucalyptus, or peppermint oil to open a closed nose, yielding more effective results than opening a closed nose.
2.Use a nati-Patra: The help of a nati-Patra helps dilute and clean the shleme in the nasal tract with saltwater. A long earthen container is a kettle-like container that can be purchased online or from a drug store. You can also use a bottle or spouted container.
- You can buy saltwater used in nati-patra from the drug store. By the way, you can make this solution by adding half a teaspoon of salt to a cup of water on your own.
- Fill the container with salt water and place the vessel's spout on the nostril by tilting the head slightly towards the sink. Slowly pour salt water into the nostrils, which passed through the first nostril before coming out of the second nostril. When this process is complete, gently snatch the nose, then perform the process through another nostril.
3.Gargle with salt water: Bad, dry, and sore throat are common symptoms of flu. An easy and natural way to deal with this problem is to gargle with saltwater. Water moisturizes the throat and helps fight infection with the antimicrobial properties of salt.
- Add salt to a glass of lukewarm or hot water and make a gargle solution. If you don't like the taste, you can reduce its saline by adding a pinch of baking soda to it.
- Gargle with this solution four times a day.
4.Let mild fever come: Fever expresses your body's ability to fight infections, so don't treat it until it's fast. Fever warms your body and blood, making it easier for your body to fight infections.
- Adults can allow mild fever (less than 101 F). Do not reduce it with a fever reduction drug.
- Go under medical care when the fever exceeds 101 F.
- Treat the newborn with any type of fever.
5.Keep your nose as clean as possible: When you suffer from flu, always snatch your nose and remove the excess shlam stored in the nasal tract. Do not take the slam inward again while doing so; otherwise, pressure in the nasal veins or earache may start.
- To snatch the nose, place the tissue on your nose with both hands. The tissue should cover your nostrils completely so that the tissue accumulates mucus or mucus while snatching. Then, with slight pressure on one nostril, snatch the nose from the other nostril.
- After cleaning the nose, dispose of the tissue immediately and wash your hands thoroughly to minimize the infection of the virus.
