Major Development Problem.
Wherever we live, our immediate natural physical surrounding is our environment. It is comprised of the atmosphere. The gases portion lithosphere is a solid portion, hydrosphere, the water portion, and people plants, and animals all leaves in a balance. This is our environment which affects us and is being affected by uses gases.
The industrial revolution begins in the 19th century, which rapid industrial development in Europe and other parts of the world. This was followed by the rapid growth of the population. Its concentration in towns and cities lead to the development of industries modernization of communication and transportation. Thus Began a rapid use of earth resources.
Top Environmental Problems.
All living beings are using the sources of the earth; in doing so, in most cases, they change or add something to the environment. Addition or change in the environment both by men and by nature can cause direct or indirect dangers to the life of humans, animals, and plants. In simple words, any addition of stuff by any means into the air, water, soil, food, and to our immediate surroundings that threaten or harm the health and survival of a living organism is known as an environmental problem.
There are two major sets of environmental problems.
1. Pollution
2. Global warming.
1.Pollution.
Pollution refers to all unhealthy changes occurring in our environment and has a direct negative effect on life. The addition of anything which brings a change in the quality of water, air, soil food and threatens the health, survival, or activities of men or other living organisms is called pollution.
Following are the major types of pollution and which we shall discuss hereunder.
1.Air Pollution.
Due to human and natural actions are becoming clean dirty smokey and unhealthy for human breathing having some unpleasant smell. It is called air pollution. Air pollution is one of the most widespread forms of pollution globally, especially in developing countries. Air pollution is an environmental problem that is present in all developing cities of the world.
Causes.
Air pollution can be produced by natural and human activities that are performed in our daily life. Dust soil particles and smoke are added to the earth's atmosphere and pollute the air. Similarly, a forest fire is also responsible for air pollution. Today transportation industrial are major human sources of air pollution automobiles like trucks, buses, cars, motorcycle train ships, and bricks knives.
Impacts.
There are many harmful effects of air pollution in our atmosphere. Air pollutants are harmful to human animals and plants. Air pollution, directly and indirectly, affects human health. Air pollution also reduces visibility which cloud be dangerous doing driving. Similarly, cigarette smoking pollutes the air and facts people's health.
Solutions/Measures.
The following measures can be taken to reduce the impacts of air pollution.
1.Factories should be constructed far away from the residential areas.
2.Better use public transport and cycle for traveling.
3.Planting more trees can be helpful to reduce air pollution Trees bring balance by producing oxygen and consuming carbon dioxide.
4.We should save fossil fuel energy resources to reduce air pollution.
2.Water pollution.
Water pollution a when there is a change in the physical-chemical or biological properties of water. This, in turn, brings a change in the quality of water that makes it poisonous.
Causes
The Major causes of water pollution are industries and population increase. Almost all industries use water in one way or the other during their production. Thus water disposed of wine industries polluted water.
Industrial waste also added poison to the underground water table, which pollutes. Drinking water.
Impacts.
Water pollution causes many harmful diseases. Many people drinking impure drinking water get diseases like chlorella diarrhea, and gastrointestinal disease is intestinal diseases. In industrial areas, toxic water is released into nearby streams well as lakes, and oceans. It kills aquatic life, fish traps, and the Indus dolphin.
Solutions/Measures.
1.Water pollution can be reduced in the following ways.
2.No factory is allowed to discharge its wastewater into the stream canal rivers or the sea without treatment.
3.We should not throw litter into rivers, lakes, and oceans. It is always good to through the litter into bins.
4.Water should be conserved by turning off the tab when not required.
3.Soil Pollution.
Any liquid, solid or gas is material with change the quality of soil its composition or appearance that affects plants crops and microorganism is called soil pollution.
Causes.
Soil pollution occurs when chemicals both in solid or liquid forms are released from industries. In many cases, the factories produce harmful chemicals as by-products. Agricultural chemicals fertilizers remain in the soil by sitting for many years. This is thrown out Dumped in nearby areas. Slowly it is added into the underlying soils. Any use of detectives oil can be dangerous for human beings and health.
Impacts.
Several soil pollutants entering into surface water, groundwater, and air ultimately harm human beings in several ways.
The main soil pollutants are salts, petroleum products, heavy metals, agricultural fertilizers, and spray. There are other sources of soil pollution, such as scaling and leakage of underground storage tanks of harmful chemicals. With the decrease in agricultural produce, the community will suffer.
Solutions/Measures.
1.There should be a system of proper disposal of waste. One must not throw the litter on the ground, which ultimately pollutes the soil.
2.There should be less use of pesticides and insecticides in agricultural activities.
3.Environmental awareness campaigns make people, especially the farmers, aware of the harmful effect of soil pollution from the harmful effect of soil pollution and chemical was thrown by factories.
4.Noise Pollution.
Is sound is one of the signs of life. When any sound becomes loud, irritating towards and harmful to functions and structure of the ears, it is called noise pollution. When it becomes louder, it isn't in physical or mental harm to human health. There is a particular limit of sound which is naturally bearable.
Causes.
All kinds of vehicles like motorbikes, trains, rickshaw buses and sources of noise pollution on the roads and for people living in nearby areas. People living near airports also face noise from flying jet planes. Similarly, residents living near railway tracks or also victims of noise pollution. At home, televisions and music systems are responsible for noise pollution when sound volume is kept high.
Impacts.
Noise pollution is actually a slow poisoning for human nerves. It has a long-lasting physiological impact on human behavior in irritation, aggressive mode, anger, and sleep discomfort.
Solutions/Measures.
1.Proper noise silencers should be used in vehicles.
2.There should be less use of horns, especially near the residential areas.
3.Industries airports and major bus terminals should be constructed away from the residential areas.
4.Schools, colleges, and University areas should be in a silent zone.
