Top 5 Crazy Adventure Sports
Every traveler has his/her own bucket list, but one of the things I often push myself to do is something that I have never done before. Be it jumping of an aircraft or a cliff, and today we will discuss some crazy adventure sports till date.
1. Giant Canyon Swing (Queen's Town, New Zealand)
It is the world's highest cliff that a human has ever jumped off. The height of the cliff is 109 meters (358 ft). That is the length of nearly 2.5 standard commercial airplanes. After leaping off the platform, you will fall for 60 meters, rushing past the rocky cliff so close that you will feel you can touch it. Here you can choose to jump so low with someone or mix and match. If you want it to take a step higher, you can also jump with a chair, bike, wheelchair or a drum over your head.
2. Bungee Jumping (Johannesburg, South Africa)
To be honest, no matter how excited you are, once you stand there and look up, you will feel your feet getting cold. Soweto towers offer 100 meters (328 ft) bungee jump from a suspension bridge. As I said, no matter how cool you try to pose yourself, you will for sure refuse to jump from that scary height at least once. But my advice is to close your eyes and take the leap of faith. The first 10 seconds are going to be the most memorable and horrific time of your life. You will feel like jumping off the terrace without a harness. But suddenly, the rope pulls you back from touching the ground, and that's when you realize that you are still alive.
3. Skydiving (Queen's Town, New Zealand)
When you talk about jumping, nothing matches the level of jumping from a perfectly flying aircraft at an altitude of 4600 meters (15000 ft). If you are doing it for the first time, and you are not trained for it. You will not be able to jump without an instructor. After the jump, you will experience a free fall for about 60 seconds, along with a spectacular view of the Hills of Queen's Town. You almost feel like a bird flying in the open sky. But if you have a stuffy nose, the air pressure can hurt your ears a little. Those who are concerned about safety can breathe, because there is a far higher chance of dying in a car crash than in a skydive.
4. Hydro Attack (New Zealand)
Did you ever want to feel like a shark in the water? If not, then you should and must experience the Hydro Attack in Queen's Town, New Zealand. There you sit inside the unique shark shaped semi submersible machines and skim across at top of the lake. Take the high speed thrill ride in the ultimate blend of a shark and a machine, by reaching speed of 80 kph on the water and 40 kph diving underwater. Next, your pilot points the shark at the sky, and it blasts straight up in to the air. This hydro attack shark is a must-try for a unique adrenaline thrill.
5. Mountain Slide (Switzer Land)
If you ever try to experience how traveling into a heaven would be like, just for its beauty. Then you must try mountain slide in Switzerland. This is the longest mountain slide in the world. 750 meters (2500 ft) long metal slide offers the best view of the alps. It takes the visitors down the sides of a green mountain and fields of the wild flowers. As the cars are banned over the mountain. So to reach there, you must take a cable car ride or hike your way up, which in itself is an adventure.
