Common Things Between Korea and India-
1. Why Indian Princess marry a Korean king?
There is an old Korean book called Samguk Yusa (삼국유사). It is a collection of legends of historical stories about 3 Korean kingdoms, and among those legends, there is one about an Indian Princess and a Korean king. This legend is about an Indian Princess, Princess Suriratna.2000 years ago, she moved from Ayuda(India) to Korea by boat. When the Princess arrived in Korea, she met the Korean King, Kim Suro. They fell in love and got married.
So you might be thinking that“Why did the princess moved from India to Korea?"
The reason that Princess Suriratna's parents had a dream, the god came into their dreams and told them to send their daughter to Korea and let her marry a Korean king. The Princess's parents were really religious, they decided to send their daughter to Korea king, Kim Suro. He also had a dream where the heavenly God told him to marry the woman wearing red clothes. If the king followed the god's order, Kim Suro's kingdom would be prosperous and filled with wealth, so when the king saw princess Suriratna. She was covered in red clothes like a saree, and the Korean king realized that she was the woman God told him to marry. Literally, they got married; princess Suriratna was only 16 years old, and she became the Korean queen, HeoHwang-ok (허황옥). They had a big wedding, everyone was happy with this relationship and after the
Marriage, they had 10 or 12 kids together. It was a big family, and because she married the king, Kim Suro, whose surname is Kim. It behaves that Koreans with Kim's surname are related to Indian Princess. For eg:-Kim Seokjin,Kim Namjoon,Kim taehyung. So probably these 3 have some Indian blood in their veins.
2. Tamil and Korean language:-
Tamil and Korean are very similar. So In Tamil, we say dad as “appa" and mom as “amma," and in Korean is mother as “momma" and dad as“appa."In Tamil, sister-in-law is “Anni," and in Korean, “eonni" is referred to an older sister/girl. In Tamil, teeth are “pal" in Korea, “Uppal."In Tamil, buttocks are “Kundi," and in Korean is “gundi."The reason is princess Suriratna was from Tamil Nadu.
3. Why Korean and Indian weddings are expensive?
Indian and Korean weddings are so so soo expensive. Of course, Indian weddings last longer (around 5 days), ad Korean wonly held for a day, only for a day, only for a day, but bothve. The average cost for an Indian wedding is from 20 lakhs to 5 crores, and the Korean wedding is from 1 crore. Indian weddings are expensive because they last for 5 days, but Korean weddings are expensive because the groom has to buy a house. The groom has to buy a house before getting married,, and buying a house in Korea is super expensive. The bride has to buy all furniture and electronics for the house.
4. Using Honorific-
Indian languages and Korean language have the same sentence structure,, and another similarity is using Honorifics. In India,,,, when we talk to elders, we use “AAP" or another honorific to refer to them, TheThe the same in Korea whenever you talk to someone older than you or higher in rank. You have to use Korean honorifics known as Chondemal. If you want to ask someone older than you if they had food, in Korea you should say like this (Shika ha-ships-soyo?) and (bapt-ships-soyo?) but If you talk to someone that is young or the same age as you (shiksa house?) and (bap morocco?)
5. Take off your shoes when entering a house
