The leader of BTS RM, who talks about mental health and social issues through his music, has recommended few books which he has read. His few songs are also based in some of these books, such as Spring Day and Blood sweat and Tear. Books recommended by RM belong to different genres, for example- science fiction, romantic comedy, or books depicting social issues. So, if you do not create the edge of genre, let's dig into a sea of knowledge and fun. 
1: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes- Empowered and empowering book with a powerful feminist message. Exists a movie with the same title based on the book; however, few fascinating scenes were omitted. Therefore, always go for a book instead of a movie. It is an interesting book, and you will lose count while flipping through pages. In 2015 RM talked about this book and had said that this book left an impression on him. It is romantic and lights yet carrying a powerful message and finding one's true self.
Even if you are not a sci-fi fan, this masterpiece will leave you speechless. 2: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the galaxy by Douglas Adams- Sci-fi book which is the story of a hypothetical situation where a word ends, and an older man is the last person to escape earth and his adventures through spaces. It talks about the uncertainty of life when no one knows what is coming next.
3: The stranger by Albert Camus- is a short novella; RM talked about it in an interview in 2016. The book tells a story of a person who kills someone after his mother dies. You will be hooked to the book by its unique opening line- " The mother died today; or maybe yesterday, I can’t be sure'. It completely disarms you as a reader. RM talked about this book in his V-live and how it impressed him.
4: the unreal and the real by Ursula K. Le Guinn- Published in two volumes, the collection of best stories is one of the books recommended by RM. The stories in the book deal with fantasy, utopian themes through provoking and criticism of social norms. If you are looking for something fun and fantasy, this is the best book for you.
5: Demian by Hermann Hesse is about the loss of innocence and finding the self. It explores and breaks down the distinction between good and evil. For example- "there is good in all evil and evil in all good."
We can find the reference of this book in BTS's music video Blood Sweat and teras, where good versus evil is depicted as light versus dark, how the light and dark world merges at the end. Sinclair (the main character represented by Jin) fights throughout the book to find his true self. In the music video, we can see at the end Jin kisses the devil statue, which represents choosing evil.
