1. Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels – 372 vs. Zimbabwe, 2015
Hitting first in their 2015 B ICC Cricket World Cup pool B match in Canberra against Zimbabwe, the West Indies are the obvious favorites. However, opener Dwayne Smith was sacked for ducking in the second ball, and Chris Gayle had to join Marlon Samuels by 0/1 points.
The West Indies went on to hit all 50 overs. Chris Gayle hit 215 runs off just 147 balls, hit six sixes, and was sent off in the final innings for what would have been a record maximum by one player in the game. Marlon Samuels, on the other hand, got 133 undefeated sedate out of 156 balls.
The West Indies sent mammoth 372/2, with Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels recording the highest ODI collaboration with 372 runs. The Windies went on to win the game by 89 runs (D / L mode).
2. John Campbell and Shai Hope – 365 vs. Ireland, 2019
The second-highest partnership in ODIs, not surprisingly, is defined by the West Indies as well. This time, it was in Dublin against Ireland in the three-nation series in 2019. The West Indies beat first, with John Campbell and Shai Hope as the opening two. Ireland only got their first wicket in the 48th over, and by that time, the West Indies had already scored 365 runs on the board.
While John Campbell hit 179 runs, 15 runs, and six sixes, on 137 balls, Shai Hope hit 22 runs with two runs to get 170 runs (152 balls) . The West Indies placed 381/3 and defeated Ireland in 185.
3. Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid – 331 vs. New Zealand, 1999
India's highest partnership in ODI was founded by Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid when New Zealand visited India in 1999. After the Kiwis led 1-0 in the first ODI, India wanted to return to the second ODI in Hyderabad. Striking first, Sourav Ganguly was sent off in the second over when Rahul Dravid joined captain Sachin Tendulkar in the top flight.
They continued to bat until the 48th over, making a 331 run alliance, followed by Rahul Dravid dismissed with a run-a-ball 153, which is his highest ODI high school. Sachin Tendulkar remains unbeaten in 186, who had 20 runs and three sixes. India scored 376/2 and beat New Zealand by 202 runs.
4. Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid (318 runs vs. Sri Lanka in 1999)
Another incident in which the world saw the strength of the Indian team in the 1999 World Cup match against Sri Lanka was when the Sourav Ganguly-Rahul Dravid players played with the Sri Lankan bowlers. A brilliant 145 ball out of 129 Rahul Dravid assisted Sourav Ganguly, who came out on top in the ODI in 183. They both made 318 runs on the second wicket. Although Ganguly was the show's stopper for the game, Dravid also played a fantastic knock as the two sent Lankan throwers to the cleaners. Taking on the likes of Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan, some of the best bowlers, the Ganguly-Dravid couple in this World Cup match looked fearless and hit authoritatively. When they attacked the two together, they hit four fours off 33 and 6 six, helping India score 373 points in 6. India eventually won the match by 157 runs.
5. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman (304 runs vs. Zimbabwe in 2018)
On July 20, 2018, the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo witnessed the total massacre in Zimbabwe, with Pakistani openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman breathing fire with their bats to help Pakistan score 399/11 ODI points. Choosing to strike after winning the toss, both Imam and Fakhar got into a murderous situation, beating Zimbabwean shooters around the park. In 42 overs, Imam and Fakhar struck a chord before the previous one was dismissed after hitting 113 runs.
