We all need some extra money, but for most of us, quitting our jobs to find freelance work is out of the question. Fortunately, there are numerous online earning websites out there; by combing sites like Upwork and Fiverr, you’ll never have trouble finding short-term gigs that help pay your bills. Just make sure to establish clear milestones with clients—these days, it’s too easy for freelancers to have their work taken advantage of by clients looking for free or heavily discounted work. You know what they say: if it sounds too good to be true...
2) Talentpool
There are over 3 million registered freelancers on Talentpool, including web designers, programmers, copywriters, and more. You can filter your search by skillset and location; you’ll also find monthly contests that offer prizes such as vacation packages and iPads. Once you land a job on Talentpool, payments are automatically deposited into your account via PayPal or cheque. It’s free to register – but keep in mind that clients will see your profile before contacting you. Whether they do or not is up to them – but it’s free to list yourself as available for work!
3) Freelancer
When deciding which online earning websites to use, you have many options—from well-known sites like oDesk and Elance, which advertise themselves as freelance marketplaces, or niche job boards. For example, if you're looking for writing work or looking for data entry jobs then there are lots of freelancer websites available to find gigs. But they aren't all created equal. Some are pretty terrible at it. Many online earning websites focus on large volume and quick turnaround times that often result in low pay rates (and an unfavorable experience). I've used dozens of freelance jobs boards from all over the world; these five are my favorites
4) Fiverr
Fiverr is one of your best bets if you're looking for freelance gigs. The site boasts thousands of gigs that pay $5 a piece and plenty more at higher price points. Of course, you can always raise your prices if there’s high demand—this isn’t Craigslist. Though Fiverr has an incredible number of highly affordable gigs on offer, sometimes it can be tough finding legit sellers who are offering what they claim to be offering. As with all online marketplaces, it pays to research your seller before making any purchases. Always make sure you read reviews about specific sellers and take note of their star ratings before hiring anyone in particular. And it never hurts to ask for references from past clients when possible!
5) People Per Hour
