1. Schedule a study schedule:
Be sure to cover your material on time and with a real-time study schedule. It will help you know where to start and what your goals are for the day. If you have a plan in place, you will not be inclined to procrastinate, as knowing how you will use your time will also mean that you are using it well. Styles of performance and commitment are different, but here are some tips on how to schedule test sessions:
Study at the same time each day to make a schedule.
Keep a variety of topics, organize difficult tasks if you work well - easy ones if you are not too careful.
Set priorities and set a time limit, e.g., one topic for two hours.
Focus on one task at a time.
Include essentials such as sleep, exercise, breaks, and food.
Before you finish your study of the day, decide what you will read the next day.
And most importantly, be flexible. Don't waste your schedule if it doesn't go 100 percent planning. Make some adjustments and move on!
2. Prepare a study area:
Give yourself the best place to focus on choosing a place with enough light, a comfortable chair, and a little uninterrupted. Sit down with everything you need - and only the things you will need - such as any books, notes, or notes, as well as water and healthy snacks in hand. This is simple but very effective when trying to focus.
A good rule of thumb is that you shouldn't be at your desk if you don’t help with studying. Also, ask what you do not need. This can be useful for all historical notes if you focus on one chapter or mobile phone.
3. Stay healthy: eat, sleep and move:
Somehow, when it comes to exercise, you do not seem to have enough time for basic things like sleep and exercise. Taking care of your health and well-being will help you learn as much as you can by improving your memory, emotions, and energy and keeping those levels of stress low.
When it comes to sleep, it’s probably no surprise that the main goal is to get enough; 7-9 hours is a good measure. For the best quality sleep, try to avoid the screens for about an hour before bed with caffeine for 4-6 hours, and give yourself a little time to rest before bed. If you have tried but cannot sleep, leave your room and do something relaxing until you fall asleep.
Maintaining plenty of water, triple meals, and sticking to healthy snacks throughout the day will give you the fuel you need to focus on. If you feel a little tired, try to get outside to get some fresh air and leave. A good goal is to exercise for 20 to 30 minutes, but even walking around the block between study times will help.
4. Minimize distractions and overcome procrastination:
Did you know that this is coming - to learn better, you need to avoid distractions as much as possible (after all, Insta and Facebook do not help you study)? If you find yourself turning your phone on to slow down, stop and take a good break instead.
Procrastination often comes in because you have trouble starting work. It seems too hard, too boring or too big. Our advice? Break it up! Small, accessible, and time-saving measures are an effective way to eliminate major tasks and stop procrastination.
Still having trouble getting started? Tell yourself that you will sit down and do just 10 minutes. This will help break the inertia of the setting. Plan to start, not perfection, and remember that something is better than nothing. Postponing procrastination and staying at work means you will not feel guilty about not studying when it is time to relax.
5. Take breaks for your well-being:
Doing well by taking a good break will help you to be more productive as you study. Take regular and refreshing breaks away from your study area and do something different. Exercises are a lot of work but remember to have fun, relax and see friends in moderation.
Hard study means setting realistic goals and benefiting from them. Enjoy the innocent Netflix fix! Did you find those activities in your schedule?
Also, remember that if you feel frustrated or depressed, be sure to talk to a friend, family member, or teacher.
