Stand By Me Doraemon
An old school anime that you just cannot miss watching if you like fun and beautiful characters. Doraemon is actually Nobita’s little brother. He has a robot dog called Doraemon that he uses to carry his stuff around. He is extremely clumsy and I have seen him accidentally throwing stuff across the room. Doraemon is the robot you are looking for to pass the time until season 2 of Netflix debuts.
Casshern Sins
An anime series which was recently made available for Netflix. It is a type of suspenseful action series. People go around thinking they are supposed to be normal people but their ability to see into the future creates major problems. There are other magical beings in the series and these include crystal maidens, dragons and lions. If you like Western shows such as Criminal Minds, you will love this one.
Yuri Yuri
A pretty cute anime series that follows the life of Yuri Yuuki. The main character is a part of a volunteer group called the Gran Kiniroko. He comes across many new people in the group and even if he does not know who to trust, he continues to try and help others. The series was very popular back in 2010. It is a throwback to classic childhood favourites such as My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Eve no Jikan
A powerful and compelling anime series that is a thriller that is not to be missed. I find it hard to really explain the plot of this anime but just know that it has a very complicated story line. It is also a very rewarding anime series because the director made sure that there were many twists and turns in the story.
The Macross Saga
I think this is one of the best anime series on Netflix. There are also several video games made after this series and each time I watch it, it gets me hooked on the series. This series has a mix of sci-fi and drama mixed in with some action scenes.
The movies from this series are available for Netflix in the Philippines. But, this anime series is also available in other countries such as Japan and many other countries.
Hal
This is the sequel to the acclaimed series, Redline. The series is set in a world where human soldiers and cyborg soldiers go into battle. The cyborg soldiers often attack each other accidentally. This makes the story even more interesting. If you like a thrilling action story, then this is the one for you.
