1.Haiku Stairs in Oahu, Hawaii

The Haiku Stairs in Oahu are the closest thing to a "stairway to heaven."  The Haiku Radio Station was built to provide radio transmissions to Navy ships all around the Pacific. These stairs consist of  3,922. On Oahu, Hawaii, the Haiku Stairs are a steep steel stair structure that offered pedestrian access to former US Navy communication facilities. At various times, the pathway has been used as a hiking trail. The area is called "Haik" after the flower Kahili.
