Top 4 ways to reduce STRESS & improve your health

Stress

Stress is a normal body reaction to anything that interferes with its natural balance physically, emotionally, and mentally. Stress can come from many different sources like working relationships or financial losses. Reducing stress increases individual productivity in all areas of life. Reducing stress improves sleep and reduces irritation, anxiety, and depression. Stress occurs daily and is a normal part of human activity. Stress may have some benefits, such as increased motivation, but excessive or persistent stress can lead to health problems.

Reducing stress has benefits for society, families, and individuals.

Here are Top 4 ways to reduce STRESS & improve your health.

Exercise

Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to relieve stress.

It may seem contrary, but putting pressure on your body through exercise can reduce stress.

The benefits are far greater if you exercise regularly. People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience stress than those who do not.

Sleep: Exercise can also improve your quality of sleep, which can be affected by stress and anxiety.

Self-confidence: If you exercise regularly, you can feel confident in your body, promoting good mental health.

Try finding a hobby, such as walking, dancing, or yoga.
Exercise keeps a person fresh & active all day. It also improves a person's health. And by doing daily exercise, you can get rid of fat issues & weight gaining while it is helpful for your stress. So, we should exercise 30 minutes a day.

2. Spend time with friends and family

Social support from friends and family can help you cope with stressful times.

Being part of a friend's network gives you a sense of belonging and confidence, which can help you in difficult times. Sharing your thoughts and getting their ideas and opinions will help you to cope with your stress.

We get emotional support from our family and friends so that we can see them on our side.

Friends are an important part of our lives. Spending time with them makes us forget all our problems.
Being surrounded by your loving ones who are caring & supportive helps people to see themselves as better able to cope with life's pressures.

3. Learn to say 'NO.'

One way to do this would be to say “no” more often.

This is especially true if you find yourself taking things in stride since doing too many activities can make you feel overwhelmed.

Choosing what you do - and saying no to things that will unnecessarily add to your load - can reduce your stress levels.

1. Saying 'No' when you are overwhelmed by your work.
2. Saying 'No' there will disturb your peace.
3. Saying ‘No’ when you get a bad feeling.
4. Saying 'No' when you are not so happy.
5.Saying 'No' to the work that is burdened you can remove stress instantly.
Saying 'No' can be the form of de-stressing yourself.

4. Deep breathing

Take a deep breath. Then take it out. You may notice a difference in the way you feel. Your breathing is a powerful tool for reducing stress and making you feel less stressed.

The purpose of deep breathing is to focus your attention on your breathing, making it slower and deeper. When you breathe in through your nose, your lungs fully expand, and your abdomen rises.

The way you breathe affects your whole body. Exercise is a good way to relax, reduce tension, and reduce stress.

As per my knowledge, Abdominal breathing exercises help you relax. You can do this by sitting or lying on the floor.

  1. To begin with, place one hand on your abdomen and the other on your chest as a tummy tuck.
  2. Take a deep, slow breath on your stomach, and quietly count to 5 as you breathe.
  3. Hold your breath, and count silently from 1 to 8.
  4. Breathe out completely as you count silently from 1 to 9. Try to get all the air out of your lungs as you count to 9.
  5. Repeat 3 to 6 times or until you feel calm.
  6. Notice how you feel at the end.
