Top 4 rules of life that you should know

1.stay away from negative people.

difficult person is probably locked into a negative mindset that is part of the fabric of their personality. Negative people often have a demanding nature and put pressure on those close to them. They want others to love and respect them and "be there for them," yet they cannot offer emotional support to others.

Strive to personify positivity. Wear your enthusiasm like armor against a negative person's onslaught of hostility. Affirm your positivity by donning nice things for a negative person on occasion. These don't have to be huge. Compliment them for something they genuinely did well. Remind them of a moment when they were happy, and things were going well for them. For instance, you might say, "Remember when you were able to bring in that big client, and everyone was so impressed? That was a good day for the company."

You can have a successful relationship with a negative person as long as your expectations are based on reality. Don't expect massive changes overnight. The only person you have control over is you, so focus on your happiness. Rise above and remain positive.

2.Don't compare your life with others and don't judge them.

Comparing ourselves to others allows them to drive our behavior. This type of comparison is between you and someone else. Sometimes it's about something genetic, like wishing to be taller, but more often, it's about something the other person can do that we wish we could do as well. Maybe Sally writes better reports than you, and maybe bob has a happier relationship with his spouse than you do. Sometimes this comparison is motivating, and sometimes, it's destructive.

You can be anything, but you can't be everything. When we compare ourselves to others, we’re often comparing their best features against our average ones. It's like being right-handed and trying to play an instrument with your left hand. We naturally want to be better than them, the unconscious realization that we do not often become self-destructive.

When you stop comparing people and focus internally, you start being better at what really matters: being you. It’s simple but not easy.

The most important things in life are measured internally. Thinking about what matters to you is hard. Playing to someone else's scoreboard is easy; that’s why a lot of people do it. But winning the wrong game is pointless and empty. You get one life. Play your own game.

3.Make peace with your past, so it does not affect your present.

You may need to spend a little time thinking about why you are stuck in the past. Do you feel like you are not worthy of moving forward? Maybe you hurt someone, and you think staying stuck in the past is your punishment.

Are you holding onto a grudge because you think your anger diminishes someone else's life? Maybe someone hurt you, and you are afraid moving on would mean what they did wasn't that bad.

Did something traumatic happen, and you never sought treatment? If something serious or a tragic event is causing you to focus on the past, you may help you heal that old emotional wound. Speaking to a licensed mental health professional could help you finally leave the past behind you.

Your vision of the future should be about who you want to become, not who you used to be. So while you can reflect on the past enough to learn from it, make sure to let go of whatever anger, shame, or guilt is holding you back from moving forward.

4.time heals almost everything. Give it time.

When you are in the middle of a painful event, being told to “just give it time" or "time will make it better" may add stress to your already wounded feelings. For some, healing comes in stages. Some of those stages take longer than others. One of the most frustrating things for someone who has been wounded is when others imply that we all fit into a cookie-cutter mold of healing. We don’t. Everyone responds differently to pain and heartache. The important thing is you responded. Unresolved pain can lead to difficulties later and may worsen over time.

If you have ever been wounded by a person or event, you may have wondered why emotional creatures. Almost everything we do is connected to our emotions. Whether it’s the memory of a time we enjoyed it with someone else, anything that can be related to an experience is something that sparks emotion within us.
