As we all know, the whole world is literally stuck inside closed doors because of the ongoing pandemic, and there'll not be any pride parade in most countries this year. But how can we celebrate by staying at our own homes! I have an answer to that question. As we are spending most of our time staying inside our homes, our screen time has already increased by a lot. So why not make that screen time a part of the celebration! I have FOUR such series for you, which will definitely give your celebration a boost.
1) Orange Is The New Black (Netflix)
This is an American comedy-drama streaming television series created by the brilliant Jenji Kohan for Netflix. This series is based on Piper Kerman's memoir, who spent fifteen months in a minimum-security federal prison. The most special thing about this series is that you can relate to the characters, and it also shows how vulnerable life could be when someone is kept in solitude. Now comes the romantic part. Imagine reuniting in prison with your ex, who is also the love of your life, and after being separated more than 10 years! Exciting right? I promise the romance you will witness in this show will definitely raise your oxytocin level (wink).
2) Station 19 (ABC)
Made by the executive producers of Gray's Anatomy. This is an American action-drama television series created by Stacy McKee for ABC. The series is about a group of heroic firefighters working under a greatly ambitious captain Maya Bishop. The most awaited love interest starts when she meets with Dr. Carina DeLuca in a tragic incident when she had to bring a ripped-off nose in a zip lock bag to the hospital where Carina works. We can fairly call this couple one of the hottest in recent times. In the recent episode, this duo got married to each other. So buckle up and start watching the show.
3) Atypical (Netflix)
This is also an American comedy-drama streaming television series created by Robia Rashid for Netflix. The story focuses on a boy named Sam Gardner who has autism spectrum disorder. The boy is currently 18 and discovering his very own sexual desire for the first time in his life and being brutally honest with it, which came out to be pretty much awkward for the people who are not a part of the spectrum. Then the series takes a cute romantic turn with Sam's sister Casey Gardner, an uprising track star. Her life takes an unexpected turn after meeting Izzie, her new teammate. One thing I can reassure that these two make one of the most cutest couples I have ever seen.
4) Dickinson (Apple TV+)
Last but definitely not least, this is also an American comedy streaming television series created by Alena Smith for Apple TV+. The story is inspired by the life of Emily Dickinson; a well knows pioneer of American literature. Besides portraying Emily's audacity of exploration through her writing, the series shows a romantic love interest between Emily and Sue, her childhood best friend, AKA sister-in-law. Confused?
