Cooking is a necessity for all of us. No matter who we are, we should learn cooking for our survival. The teenage years are the best years to learn new recipes. There are times you might need to cook for yourself, as a teenager, especially when you're home alone. Isn't it a better option to cook for yourself instead of ordering from outside and save your precious money for something even better? Of course, it is! But, these days, even kids don't have free time to learn some household work, let alone teens. I understand the struggles of many teens who have no idea what to cook when home alone. I, as a teen, faced the same problem too! But practice makes a man perfect. That's exactly what I did. I practiced! Of course, trying out some complicated recipes doesn't seem like a good option. So, it's better to start with some easy yet delicious recipes. And if you've no idea, worry not. This article is for you. I'm here to help you decide what to cook as a beginner so that you can progress to more difficult recipes. Here you go!
1. Instant noodles

I know. Instant noodles are something everyone knows to cook, be it a bachelor, a student, a married person, or anyone. The thing is, I'm not even talking about the plain noodles everyone cooks. You can modify the noodles into something fancy by adding different ingredients like cheese, eggs, or chicken. Instant noodles are simple yet delicious. And it's better to start with something simple, right. With that being said, my favorite instant noodles are Shin ramyun, Indomie Mi Goreng, Samyang, Wai Wai, and Maggi, of course.
2. Sandwiches

Sandwiches are some of the easiest recipes out there, and as a beginner, they can be one of the best options to make. And different parts of the world have different types of sandwiches. Some have even modified them into gourmet dishes. So, it's total upto you as to what filling you want to add to your sandwiches. Go for anything you like. My personal favorites are cheese and chicken. Further sandwiches are healthy, and they fill our stomachs, leaving us satisfied. Not to forget about the taste. Sandwiches can be some of the cheapest delicacies out there, which makes them many people's favorite. 3. Mac and cheese

This simple yet mouth-watering dish is one of the easiest to make. The process isn't even time-consuming, and the taste is mind-blowing. Not gonna lie. Mac n cheese tastes fancy too. So if you're not an expert in cooking yet want to eat something fancy, mac n cheese is the perfect choice for you.
4. Fried rice

Want to eat something heavier than usual, maybe something like rice? Then go for fried rice! The rich color and aroma may make fried rice look like a tough dish to cook, but that's not really the case. All you need is some rice(even leftover is okay), oil, veggies, meat, spices, and sauces. You can also add other ingredients according to your own will. Usually, it takes around 15 minutes to make fried rice, and that's not too long, in my opinion. Besides, fried rice can make a perfect dinner, so why not? Also, I would suggest adding a fried egg along with your fried rice as it enhances the taste.
Try to make the above-mentioned recipes and discover your cooking style. By starting with these simple ones, you'll progress to tougher recipes which can also be time-consuming. Who knows, you might end up becoming a professional chef one day! Or at least the chef of the house, who's responsible for making all the party dishes for different occasions. Wouldn't that be exciting?
