1. SARVA PINDI

Sarva Pindi is the most famous food in Telangana. This is in a round shape with wholes in the middle of the Sarva Pindi. This is also known as "Zappala chekka." This is most delicious in Siddipet district, which is located in Telangana. The main ingredient in Sarva Pindi is rice flour. This is the snack type recipe which we eat in the evenings.

HOW TO MAKE SARVA PINDI?

Take a bowl, add all ingredients given above, and some salt and Mirchi powder as per your taste. Now take rice flour into the bowl and make a dough; take a large and round pan, grease some oil, and pat the orange-sized dough to the pan. Please put it on the stove until it becomes golden brown color. That's it; the delicious Sarva Pindi is ready.

 

2. GARIJALU

                                         

Garijalu is a famous food in Telangana. This is also known as Kajikawa. This is the moon-shaped sweet filled with coconut powder and sugar. This sweet is prepared for some festivals in Telangana. This is the flavor of cardamom. This is more delicious in Kama Reddy District, which is located in Telangana.

INGREDIENTS THAT ARE NEEDED FOR MAKING OF GARIJALU:

  • Plain flour
  • Grated coconut
  • Sugar
  • cardamom powder

 

HOW TO MAKE GARIJALU?   

Take a bowl, add plain flour, and pinch of salt to it with some ghee. Now add water until the dough becomes like pliable dough, not too soft. Keep aside for 10 minutes; meanwhile, heat a pan, add 1tbsp ghee, and add the grated coconut roast it on a medium flame for 4 minutes. Take a sugar powder to add to the coconut powder roast. Now take the dough and make a lemon-sized ball and make like puri. Now add the mixture you have prepared in the middle and fold the edges with your fingers; make sure that your fingers are wet. Now take a pan, add oil, wait until it is heated. Now add garijalu into the oil till it becomes golden brown color. Garijalu is ready.

 

3.SAKINALU

                                           

Sakinalu is a special snack in Telangana. This so crispy recipe and so tasty. This is made for festivals like Sankranthi, Dasara which are the festivals of Telangana. It consists of concentric circles made of rice flour. The main ingredient in this is rice flour. This is the most famous in the Northeast of Telangana.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR MAKING OF SAKINALU:

 

  • Rice flour
  • Salt
  • Required oil
  • Sesame(nuvvulu)

HOW TO MAKE SAKINALU?

Take a mixing bowl, add 2 to 3 cups of rice flour add salt and sesame. Now pour water till it becomes like dosa batter. Now make concentric circles, as shown in the figure. Now, wait until it becomes 50% dry. Now heat some oil in the pan and add this sakinalu to the hot oil. Therefore tasty and crispy sakina is ready.

 

4. POLOLU

                                                                 

Pololu is also known as Puran Poli. This is the famous food in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, etc..this is round in shape. This is sweet, which is made of chana dal and maida or atta. This is the special sweet made for the Ugadi festival in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

 

INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR MAKING OF PURAN POLI:   

  • Maida or Atta
  • Chana dal
  • Sugar
  • water
  • Each

 

HOW TO MAKE PURAN POLI ?

Take a mixing bowl, add maida to make the dough too soft with oil and water. Keep aside for 1 hour until that boil the chana dal make it as a paste add sugar powder and elachi as per the quantity you have taken. Now take a soft dough, make a lemon-sized ball like a puri with some drops of oil on the cover, close the cover in half, then roll it like a puri. Now in the middle of it, place the chana dal sweet, close it with your hand, make sure that dal should not come out of it. Now again, do the same thing you have done before. Now take the chapati pan, add 2 drops of ghee to the pan and add the pan's polls. Wait until it becomes like a chapati color. That's it; you are politely is ready.
