1.Robert Clive: Reign: 1757 to 1773

Born: 22 September 1725, Died: 22 November 1774
Also known as the founder of the British Empire in India
He was the first governor of Bengal.
He enforced diarchy during his reign. Thus during the reign of Robert Clive, the administration was run by the Nawab of Bengal. The land revenue military protection was in the hands of the East India company.

2.Warren Hasting: Reign:1773 to 1785

Born: 6 December 1732 in Churchill (United Kingdom), Died: 22 August 1818
The first governor-general of Bengal, during his reign, the regulating act came in India; under this act, the Supreme Court was established in Kolkata, and the first judge Eliza Empey became.
