Naruto?
Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto at the end of 1999.
Naruto debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine in Japan. It followed a young ninja, Naruto, who lived in a fantasy world out of Japanese mythology.
The manga explores the story of a boy possessed by a demon called Nine-Tailed Fox from his birth.
Due to this, he is shunned as an outcast and is treated miserably.
It also displays his various struggles and how he overcomes various obstacles and achieves his dream of becoming the greatest leader of his village(Hokage).
The TV series Naruto is an adaptation of the manga from 2002-2017, consisting of 2 parts.
The first part, "Naruto," which aired from 2002-2007, journeys through the adventures of a kid ninja who dreams of becoming the leader of his village and trains hard to achieve it with help.
This series is made so that it is for the light-hearted population, fully consisting of friendship, love, humor, and a little bit of seriousness and sadness.
Part 2, "Naruto Shippuden," which aired from 2007-2017, further explores his adventures in a more serious approach but fails to lose its charm throughout the entire series.
Through its entire run, this series teaches us various life lessons s, and that is one of the main reasons it is regarded so highly.
A Short Summary of Naruto:
As I mentioned above, The Nine-Tailed Fox is a demon spirit that possesses high energy(Chakra).
The fox attacked the Village Hidden In The Leaves(Naruto's home), one of the great nations when Naruto was born.
To save the Village, the then leader Fourth Hokage sealed the demon spirit inside an infant Naruto.
As a result, Fourth Hokage had to sacrifice his life. Now the story takes place after 16 years.
Naruto has become a mischievous teenage boy of about 12 years old who always gets into trouble for the sole purpose of being noticed.
The third Hokage currently protects the Village from harm.
Naruto supervised to be a ninja under the guidance of Kakashi Hatake, a reputable ninja in the Village.
Along with Naruto, Kakashi also supervises Uchiha Sasuke and Sakura Haruno. They came to be known as Team 7.
Thus team 7 goes on various missions and adventures till Uchiha Sasuke, a brother to Naruto, abandons the Village in search of more power to assassinate his elder brother, Itachi.
Thus the story takes a dark turn when Naruto decides to bring his friend home. Sasuke defeated Naruto and refused to return to the Village.
As Naruto realizes, the only way to bring his friend back was to become stronger.
He trains tirelessly under Jiraiya and leaves from his village for 2 and a half years.
Although he left the Village to train to bring Sasuke back, he was also in danger from Akatsuki's organization.
They aimed to capture the demon spirit to bring order to a chaotic world led by Pain.
Naruto Shippuden travels through the adventures of Naruto, taking down the Akatsuki and trying to bring his friend back.
It also shows how Naruto desperately attempts to bring peace to a chaotic world.
A series worthy of being called GOAT
The series Naruto consists of 220 episodes and Naruto Shippuden 500, which brings us a whopping 720 episodes.
This is why it is regarded as one of the "Big Three" and due to its popularity over its reign.
The other two are "One Piece" (also regarded as a GOAT because of the high popularity and story arc) and "Bleach"(high popularity in overseas like Naruto)
The series has a high percentage of fillers, which is why Naruto is highly debated over.
Though there is a highly significant number of fillers, I believe those fillers were necessary to main a flow for the main story arc.
The seriousness of the main story arc is taken off by light-hearted fillers, and though not all the fillers, some of the fillers are actually pretty good.
If you're unable to bear this, you could skip to the fillers and enjoy the main story.
But I would suggest you watch these fillers (as it is not a filler but the story of other supporting characters. considered a filler by many):
*Kakashi arc: https://zee.gl/zx322FAn
*Jiraiya and the three orphans arc: https://zee.gl/kzHU7S6r
*Itachi arc: https://zee.gl/7uoO8
Now to the main points:
* As opposed to other anime, the quality provided by this series is truly magnificent.
The fight scenes and other scenes become more exciting with the quality of this series.
Although this series has high-quality aspects, it sometimes lacks to maintain it in certain areas.
* Naruto can connect with the audience by providing a humane touch such as friendship, dreams, love, trust, etc.
Naruto gives priority to emotions, and we can relate to the characters.
Even antagonists of the series can steal our sympathy as their stories are given priority. It tells us that we do what we do because of what we want.
Naruto's ability to talk enemies out is considered one of the heated topics. It has also been given a title by netizens as " Talk no Jutsu," which is truthfully sometimes quite boring.
But it provides a vital lesson: to always give a second chance to people who deserve it and not shove them away because of their actions.
Naruto, the character, teaches us never to lose hope and always to pursue the dreams we harbor. These all reasons make the character Naruto lovable.
* The most important point of all: Naruto gives high priority to its supporting characters.
Naruto can win where other anime's lack. This is one of the main reasons people are attracted to this anime.
Other series lose their focus on supporting characters as they prioritize the protagonist and the antagonist where the supporting characters are left behind.
In Naruto, every character is given high priority as they each have their own back story.
(Spoiler alert: One of all-time best anime backstories is presented with a supporting character).
This is why each character in Naruto is also famous throughout the world, such as Shikamaru, Gara, Itachi, and many more.
This is where the brilliance of Masashi Kishimoto is highlighted, whereas he sometimes gave more priority to supporting characters.
These points are more than long if you have ever watched Naruto. You will have no other choice but to agree with me.
And of course, some oppose my points on various views. Whatever the view Naruto the series and manga have both proves their worth in more than one way.
Anybody who has watched or read Naruto will always be in awe of it. Is there any reason it shouldn't be called the GOAT! (along with One Piece)?
