Vanilla has high demand around the globe. It is used in many products like ice creams, chocolates, cakes, perfumes, soft drinks, and many other food products. It is used in 40% of ice creams. Vanilla is the costliest spice after saffron. The market price of vanilla is about 3500Rs/kg. There are many herbal, pharmaceutical, food processing companies that need vanilla beans in bulk. So a proper marketing plan and training are required if vanilla crop is grown commercially.
Growing vanilla on a land of 1 acre is technically feasible, financially viable, and bankable.
If we talk about sales channels then you can sell it in the wholesale market or the local market. You can sell it to a food processing company or can white level for any other company. You can sell on different E-commerce sites.
3. Mushroom Farming
Mushroom has high demand in India as well as in other countries as its delicious, and it has many health benefits.it can be harvested 6 to 7 times in a year. So, you can gain profit every two months. According to agricultural data, 1 square feet area of land can yield 10-15 kg of mushroom. So if u harvest in a 500 square feet room, it will yield you 5000 kg and according to the selling price of mushroom i.e. 120/kg, the selling price can be around Rs6 lakhs and after cutting the cost of farming i.e. around 2-2.5 lakhs, the profit can be around 3.5-4 lakhs.
