Anime is Japanese animation that is created by hand and/or computer. Anime, as used in English and outside of Japan, mostly refers to animation created in Japan. However, anime, a term that is a contraction of the English word animation, refers to any animated works in Japanese, regardless of their origin or style. A lot of animation made outside of Japan also shares a lot of similarities with Japanese anime. There are occasions when "anime"-inspired themes and visuals appear in video games.
1. The Wrong Way to use Healing Magic
The Improper Application of Healing Magic (literally, "How to Use Healing Magic Wrongly: Main Recovery Team Member Running Through the Battlefield") Chiyu Mahō no Machigatta Tsukai-kata: Senjō o Kakeru Kaifuku Yōin is a series of light novels published in Japan that KeG drew and Kurokata wrote. Online serialization of the novel started in March 2014 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, a website that publishes user-generated novels. Media Factory eventually purchased it, and since then, they have released twelve volumes under the MF Books banner between March 2016 and March 2020. Since April 2017, a seinen manga magazine called Comp Ace published a manga adaption illustrated by Reki Kugayama. Thirteen tankōbon volumes have gathered it.
2. The Demon Prince of Momochi House
The historic Momochi family estate is suddenly left to the orphan Momochi Himari as an inheritance when she turns sixteen. She moves into the house in spite of the warnings she heard about it being haunted since she has nowhere else to go. Three attractive young men—Aoi, Yukari, and Ise—are living in the house illegally, she finds out when she arrives. Himari is ignorant that the three are using the stories of the ghosts and curses to warn her to leave the house as quickly as possible, but she refuses to listen. Her house seems to be on the boundary between the spirit and human worlds, and she soon learns that everything she has been told is true. She was meant to be the protector of this boundary.
3. Burn the Witch Season 2
Tite Kubo is the author and illustrator of the manga series Burn the Witch in Japan. In July 2018, a one-shot chapter was initially published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump. Seasonally released, a serialized follow-up to the one-shot is being published in the same magazine. From August to September 2020, the first season, consisting of four chapters, was released. The manga has an announced second season. A song from the English band Radiohead's 2016 album inspired the title of the series.
