1. PET SEMATARY (1989)

            The PET SEMATARY (1989) is the best horror movie of this time. Thirty years after the release of the original Pet Sematary movie, the director of this film Mary Lambert back at what was and what almost was. Then there was the thing they dug up...that still lives today.

And the new version of Pet Sematary is headed to theaters, and Paramount pictures have also just re-released the 1989 film in a 4K ultra HD combo pack and Blu-ray.

Lambert, also known for her music videos for Madonna, Sting, and Janet Jackson, spoke with EW about crafting one of the scariest Stephen King movies ever made. 

God, I have so many memories of this movie! One thing that really stands out is that Stephen had several things that he had an absolute say on, and one of them was like the movie was going to be shot. And it was in his contract with paramount that the movie would be shot in Maine.

Maine was just so beautiful. Everything that Stephen had described in the box was there. In the opening scene, there's the swing, and Ellie falls, and then church jumps out of a tree...then actually, the feral cats would lead her to father in some way.

I think it probably would work out best if the body were found, and the other was presumed destroyed in the fire, but in fact, one of them survived. I was learning towards Louis just because of the Louis -Ellie connection...Yes, that there's an undead presence.

2. Us (2019)

          "Us" is another thrilling exploration of the past and oppression this country is still too afraid to bring up. The latest horror movie." Us," begins in 1986 with a little girl and her parents wandering through the Santa Cruz boardwalk at midnight. She separates from them to walk out on the empty beach, watching a foreboding flock of thunderclouds roll in. Her eyes find an attraction just off the main pier, and she walks into what looks like an abandoned hall of mirrors.

The mov6 shifts to the present day, with Janelle Monae on the radio as the Wilson family heading towards their vacation home. And the little girl has now grown up to be a woman, Adelaide (Lupita Nyongs), nervous about returning to that spot on the Santa Cruz beach.

Part of the appeal of "Us" is how you interpret what all of this information and images mean.No doubt; the movie will give audiences plenty to mull over long after the credits. And this film, the Jeremiah 11:11Bible verse appears twice before pivotal moments.

A suspenseful story and marvelous cast need a great audience to make the film a home run, and the "Us" is not short on talent at all. Mike Gioulakis creates unsetting images in mundane spaces, like how a strange family standing at a driveway is not scary. Still, when it's early dark out, they're backlit so that their faces go unseen, and the four bodies are standing at a higher elevation from our heroes, so it looks like evil is swooping in from above.

3. THE SHINING (1980)

             The Shining is a 1980s scary horror movie and directed by Stanley Kubrick.With jack Nicholson. It was released in the United States. There were several versions for theatrical releases.

Danny starts having frightening visions. Meanwhile, Jack's mental health deteriorated, he gets nowhere with his writing. Danny gets physically bruised after visiting unlocked Room 237 out of curiosity.

I was never a big fan of horror movies. They usually try cheap tricks to scare their audiences, like loud noises and creepy children. They usually lack originality and contain overacting galore. But this movie is just mind-blowing. The actresses who played the ghosts of the murdered Grady daughters, Lisa and Louise Burns, are identical twins.

In the hedge maze, Danny lays a false trail to mislead jack and hides behind with her snowdrifts while Jack follows the false. Danny and Wendy reunite and leave in Halloran's snowcat, leaving Jack to freeze in the maze.
