The Samsung QN95A is the company's new flagship for Neo QLED 4K TVs in 2021 and the first to utilize mini-LED technology for backlighting. This, in turn, expands the size of the dimmable areas and makes the panels thinner.

The result speaks for technology, as Samsung's new model offers a phenomenally stunning SDR and HDR image with a deep black head and bright highlights without blooming or loss of detail. On the other hand, Quantum Dot technology conjures up an even more saturated and vibrant color scheme, and the new Filmmaker Mode ensures that the tones are incredibly faithful and accurate.

The QN95A has a brightness of 2,000 nits in Dynamic image mode and more than 1,600 nits in more accurate Filmmaker mode. In other words, many HDR contents do not require tone mapping at all, but when needed, it is executed correctly and without loss of detail in the darkest and brightest parts of the image. However, it is worth noting that the TV does not support the more widely used Dolby Vision HDR standard, but only the HDR10 +.

In addition to the great picture, the QN95A also sounds excellent, thanks to Object Tracking Sound Plus (OTS +) technology, which tunes to the TV via the built-in 4.2.2-channel speaker system. Given the thinness of the TV, the inclusion of so many speakers is a miracle in itself. Thanks to its slim and elegant design, the QN95A is also one of the most spectacular 4K models.

The LG C1 OLED may be an iterative improvement over the LG CX released last year. However, it is still significantly better than most 4K OLED TVs currently on the market, thanks to its excellent black level, infinite contrast, and convincing features.

However, the 2021 model will not improve in the same way as the Samsung QN95A, thanks to which the latter has taken the top spot with its mini-LED panel. But despite this, LG's new model offers phenomenal, and one of the best 4K experiences right now.

The LG C1 uses the company's latest Alpha a9 Gen. 4 processor to enhance upscaling and virtual surround sound, plus the TV has four HDMI 2.1 ports for next-generation PS5 and Xbox Series X gaming. Players will also appreciate the new Game Optimiser menu, which lets you change brightness, contrast, and VRR on the fly.

The Sony X90J is an excellent option for anyone who doesn't want to pay for a sore OLED TV.

In addition, the X90J has a great picture, thanks to the new Cognitive XR processor introduced in the company's new 2021 models. This processor makes an excellent mark when scaling up and in contrast control. The TV also supports the new Google TV interface, making it easy to install and connect to other Android devices via Google Cast. Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos support complete the features.

This model is also a 120Hz panel, a 4K resolution, VRR- (Variable refresh rate), and ALLM support (Auto low latency mode) outstanding for the game experience PS5 has and Xbox Series X. However, you should check that the picture settings are set to Enhanced format; otherwise, you will not be able to enjoy the benefits of HDMI 2.1 on your TV.
