After reading the title of this article, I'm sure the first thought I had was, "What is mangosteen juice?" An exercise partner, a junkie friend, introduced me to mangosteen juice when I told him about the Athletic Greens I drink every morning. I used to cry that even though I liked the effect of boosting my immune system, it tasted like green chalk. He suggested that I try mangosteen juice as an alternative.
He also pointed me to a list of 22 reasons why everyone should drink mangosteen juice:
1. It is very nutritious and low in calories.
2. It provides Vitamin C, B9, B1, B2, manganese, copper, and magnesium. These vitamins and minerals are essential for wound healing, immune defense, and signature.
3. It is rich in antioxidants, especially xanthomas which are anti-inflammatory drugs
4. Prevents atherosclerosis
5. It protects the heart muscle
6. Anti-Parkinson's, Anti-Alzheimer's, and other types of dementia
7. Anti-depressant
8. Preventing bacterial infections and fungi
9. Viral infections and disease prevention (can it help with coronavirus?)
10. Prevention of gum disease
11. Anti-diarrhea (really helpful with gut health)
12. Reduce fever
13. Eye care prevents glaucoma and cataract
14. Energy boosters - fighting fatigue
15. The fight against aging
16. It promotes the body's metabolism and can help in weight loss
17. It lowers blood fats
18. Benefits of anti-tumor
19. Mangosteen has been shown to help prevent cancer through its powerful antioxidants.
20. Lower your blood pressure
21. Many indications of "Immunostimulants" related to xanthomas
22. It strengthens blood sugar and improves diabetes control because it is a good source of fiber
And yes, it is very nice.
After reading all those positive results, I thought, this is too good to be true. It is impossible to do all those things. Why have I never heard of it or had a little idea of what it looked like? If they did all those things, why doesn't everyone buy them?
For further research, mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) is a tropical evergreen tree that has originated in the Sunda Islands and Moluccas. The tree grows from 7 to 25 feet [7 m] in height. The edible fruit is deep purple when ripe. In Asia, the mangosteen fruit is known as the "Queen of Fruits," and the durian (Durio variety) is known as the "King of Fruits." It is very close to other hot edible fruits such as button mangosteen and lemon drop mangosteen.
The outer shell of the fruit is hard, usually 4-6 cm wide. Cutting on the surface, one gets a white fruit, 3-5 cm wide. Depending on the size and maturity, there may or may not be holes in the fruit stages. The number of fruit pods is directly related to the number of leaves under the shell. On average, mangosteen has five fruits (number of rotations).
I have eaten many unusual fruits in my life, including King of Fruits - durian, but I have never seen or tasted this Fruit Queen. Time to try something different. I bought mangosteen juice from Amazon and thought I would give it a try! It tasted better than my Athletic Greens, and I felt energized all day. I'll have to let you know in the future if it helps to lose weight! Even if half of the claims are true, I get a little mangosteen juice as a daily supplement or several times a week that won't hurt during the illness!
Give it a try!
And if you are not at all exotic fruit chicken, there are supplements available which are a living way as a body supplement. One 26-week study of obese women, conducted by the National Institute of Health, showed that those who received 400mg of mangosteen extract per day significantly reduced insulin resistance compared with control studies. You really should try!
