I sold my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 after purchasing the iPhone 12 Pro Max and used it for a few weeks since I can only justify having one flagship in my hand at a time. It's undoubtedly the best overall smartphone, succeeding in practically every aspect, as evidenced by the fact that it's been my daily driver for over a year.

Apple's iPhone 12 lineup consists of four models, each of which supports Face ID.

Support for 5G networks in all sports. All four models have new Apple CPUs, enhanced camera capabilities, and a more square-shaped design (similar to the iPhone 4 and iPad Pro).

With a 6.7-inch display, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest iPhone yet. Compared to the iPhone 12 Pro, Apple gave the iPhone 12 Pro Max marginally better cameras this year.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is priced at $1,099 for the 128GB model and $1,399 for the 512GB model. Graphite, silver, gold, and pacific blue are all available colors for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 series is expected to be released soon.

While I think the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the best all-around phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the best overall phone for me. The Z Fold 3 is the ideal phone and tiny tablet, thanks to S Pen support and an IPX8 water-resistant construction.

I couldn't ask for a better little tablet, and it's well-suited to getting work done on the fly.

I'm trying out a review unit, but I've already placed an order for my own in Phantom Green. Aside from the hardware upgrades, Samsung made the purchase a little easier by slashing the price by $200 from the previous Z Fold 2. Pre-order deals and the chance to trade in up to four other devices are also available to help bring the price down even lower.
