1. Kartavyapath is referred to as Rajpath.
As everyone knows, the annual January 26 procession takes place on Rajpath in New Delhi. However, from 1950 until 1954, Rajpath was not the parade's organizing hub. Rajpath was chosen as the parade's permanent location on January 26, AD 1955. At the time, Rajpath was known as "Kingsway," but it is now known as Kartavyapath.
2. The governor general of Pakistan was invited.
The primary guest for the 26th January parade is always the prime minister, president, or other head of state. The principal visitor invited was Dr. Sukarno, the president of Indonesia. On the other hand, Malik Ghulam Muhammad, the Governor-General of Pakistan, was invited to the inaugural march in 1955, which took place at Rajpath.
3. President leads the R Day Parade

4. Parade planning begins early.
By 2:00 AM, all of the parade's participants are ready, and by 3:30 AM, they are all on the Rajpath. But the planning for the parade started in July of the year before, and all of the sponsors were formally notified of their involvement at that time. They train in parade at the regimental centers relevant to them until August, and they arrive in Delhi by December. Before officially performing on January 26, the members had already put in 600 hours of practice.
5. A unique camp close to India Gate

6. Parade merely travels nine kilometers.
Each organization travels a total of 12 kilometers during the practice sessions for the 26 January parade; however, on the actual 26 January, they only travel a total of 9 kilometers. The institution that receives the title of "great marching institution" is chosen mostly on the basis of this judgment.
7. Parade is organized beautifully.
Every task carried out during the parade on January 26th is planned ahead of time and done correctly from the beginning to the end. As a result, the organizers should attentively monitor even the tiniest mistake and delay caused by the fewest number of minutes.
8. The Army takes part in the Parade
Every army personnel who takes part in the parade must successfully complete four layers of scrutiny. In addition, their hands are thoroughly examined to ensure that no loose bullets are in their palms.
9. Parade Tableaux
In order to allow spectators to observe the tableaux in full, the parade moved at a speed of around 5 km/h. The fact that the drivers of these tableaux force them through a narrow window will astonish you. Twelve states, one union territory, and nine ministries and departments made the decision to display their tableaus during the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2022. These include Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh.
10. Flypast
The "flypast" is the most exciting aspect of the event. About forty-one aircraft are involved in the "flypast," which is the responsibility of the Western Airforce Command. The aircraft involved in the parade departs from various Air Force locations and arrives at the Rajpath at a predetermined time.

Since "Abide with Me" was Mahatma Gandhi's favorite song, it is played at every Republic Day procession. But now the national government has eliminated it.

13. Budget of 320 crore
Information obtained through an RTI request indicates that the 2014 parade event cost roughly 320 crore rupees. In this sense, from 2001 to 2014, the amount spent at the 26th January parade increased by 54.51%.
14. First top Guest of Pakistan
Malik Gulam Mohammed, Pakistan's first fashionable governor, was the first top guest of the Rajpath Parade when it started the Republic Day Parade in 1955.
15. Beating the retreat protocol
