MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
The global medical devices industry is expected to reach a valuation of $612.7bn (£440.5bn) by 2025, growing at 5.4% CAGR. Thanks to growing consumer demand and technological innovation, we can expect to see high growth in product areas such as wearable health tech, robotics nanotechnology, and extended reality devices.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Overall employment of electrical and electronics engineers is projected to grow 7 per cent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 22,700 openings for electrical and electronics engineers are projected each year, on average, over the decade
ONLINE TUTORS
Thanks to parents like Thorn, the online tutoring market is booming. The industry as a whole was worth over $5.6 billion in 2020, according to one study by Grand View Research. In 2018, it was a $4.2 billion industry, a rise of 33 percent.RS
FINANCIAL ADVISER
The employment of personal financial advisors is projected to grow 5 per cent from 2020 to 2030, slower than the average for all occupations. Despite limited employment growth, about 21,500 openings for personal financial advisors are projected each year, on average, over the decade
HOME HEALTH AIDE
Overall employment of home health aides and personal care aides is projected to grow 40 per cent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.
NURSING ASSISTANT
The U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us that “employment of nursing assistants is projected to grow 9 per cent from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations.” Many factors contribute to the increasing demand for CNAs across the country including retirement, job turnover, and patient-
WEB DEVELOPER
Yes, web development is a good career. Mondo's annual Tech and Digital Marketing Salary guide found “Web Developer” was the most in-demand job title in tech and one of its top-paying jobs. And, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor, the job market for Web Developers is expected to grow 15 per cent by 2026.
PHYSICAL THERAPY AIDE
The employment of physical therapists is projected to grow 21 per cent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 15,600 openings for physical therapists are projected each year, on average, over the decade
TRUCK DRIVER
As reported by Redwood Logistics, trucks carry about 70% of all goods shipped in the U.S., and this is expected to grow by 3.4% annually until at least 2023. This heightened demand, coupled with fewer young people choosing truck driving as a career, has caused a shortage of 51,000 truck driving jobs across the country.
CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Overall employment of construction labourers and helpers is projected to grow 7 per cent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations
OPERATION RESEARCH ANALYST
The employment of operations research analysts is projected to grow 25 per cent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 10,200 openings for operations research analysts are projected each year, on average, over the decade.
