Avoid super greasy foods, deep-fried, packaged foods that provide no significant nutrition but are loaded with salts and sodium with a high level of cholesterol. Start eating greens, salad, mixed veg soups that keep you full for a long period of time. It is always good to replace packaged fruit juices with fresh fruit juice that you make in the kitchen, interesting and feels good too. Starting to eat healthily is the first step in losing weight.

You will see the changes once you do that in a day or two.
Avoid alcohol altogether as they are really high in calories and cause you to dehydrate. If at all you cannot give up, limit drinking to two or three shots. DO NOT GO BEYOND THAT.
