Top 10 tips for better Time Management..!!

Time is precious. This is the sole resource that can’t be purchased. Each multimillionaire or poor person has only 24 hours each day. How you use them depends on you? Every second, minute, the hour that passes will never come back and cannot be recovered.

In the society of the longer term, time is that the currency. The richest, young, healthy, and beautiful can live for thousands of years, while the poor shine every morning with several hours at their disposal and have to fight to gain more minutes of life.

If you do not control what you do with time, do not manage it, waste it unnecessarily, become less productive, and achieve what you dream more slowly.

Ask yourself a few questions.

  • Am I punctual, or am I late?
  • Do I finish tasks within the allotted time, or am I exceeding the deadlines?
  • Do I know what I spend my time on? Does he manage it well?

If you answered "No" to all or some of these questions, there is room for improvement in your time management.

Here are 10 recommendations on the way  to make better use of and manage your time

1. Make a daily plan

Plan your day before it starts. Work it out in the morning, or even better, the day before going to bed. Writing down sentences and planning the day will allow you to see what the coming day will look like and what should be done, and when.

Your goal should be to stick to this plan throughout the day and implement the planned activities. Apart from strictly substantive tasks, consider other tasks such as going to the gym, meals, and going to the child's presentation in kindergarten.

Of course, life was unpredictable, and not always everything we planned will be possible to achieve, but we should strive for it.

2. Set a deadline for every task

You have already written down what you want to do on a given day and formulated your tasks. Also, specify the times of the day, when you will carry out the tasks and how much time you need to do them.

Of course, it does not make much sense to plan everything down to the minute, because such precise plans may fail in the face of reality, but clearly define at what times you will be carrying out a given task, by when you should finish it to start the next one.

When will it be time for meals, and when will be time for work and other activities. Try to stick to that schedule.

3. Keep track of deadlines

You need to know by when you have time to complete the task. If it is not imposed in advance, you set a time limit, determine how much time you need, and enter the date by which you plan to finish the task—tasks without a specific deadline drag on indefinitely.

Try not to exceed the set deadlines. If this happens, set the next date immediately. Also, learn why you failed to meet the deadline. What was the reason for this? How are you able to avoid this in the future?

4. Learn to say no

As already mentioned, you only have 24 hours during the day, so don't get distracted by irrelevant things. Also, don't take on more tasks than you can complete. People will be turning to you with various requests; they will actually be asking for your time.

Think carefully about whether you actually need to look out for it. If you are focused on work, some important task, and someone distracts you from it, apologize to him that you are busy at this point and, if it is not a matter of life or death, postpone this conversation to another period.

Such a distraction, detachment from the task, makes it harder for you to come back to it later, and you will lose precious minutes for it.

5. Set yourself reminders

Reminders are a handy feature of many electronic calendars. If you have an important meeting or task to perform, set yourself a reminder. You can define how long before a given event is notified. Sometimes 15 minutes before it is enough, it is worth setting a longer period, e.g., 1 day. It all depends on what the task concerns and how long you need to prepare for it.

6. Block distractors

What distracts you at work? Phone ringing? Mobile Notifications? SMSes? Huts? There is so much going on these days that our strength will not distract from work is put to a great test.

Our smartphones, in particular, are a huge source of distraction. As soon as there is a new message, we break away from work and immediately see who wrote it and what is going on. By the way, we check Facebook and see what's new with friends. When you are doing important work, turn off your phone.

Yes, turn it off, I know it's hard, but it’ll allow you to focus more. You can reply to missed calls or messages later. In most situations, these are not guttural things and can wait.

7. Prioritize tasks

You can't do everything, so you need to learn to prioritize tasks and evaluate what your attention should be in the first place, what is important, and what can be skipped or postponed. Here it’s worth mentioning the well-known 80/20 rule, which is beneficial when setting priorities.

Usually, around 20% of the efforts made are responsible for 80% of the results. Find these key tasks which will allow you to require an enormous breakthrough in achieving your goals.

8. Delegate

When you have a task ahead of you, ask yourself if I really am the person who should do it? If there are any things that someone else could do better than you or aren't important enough for you to do personally, consider delegating them.

This will save you time and spend it on other activities. Remember, however, that responsibility cannot be delegated. If you entrust something to someone to do, in the end, you will repeat any possible consequences on this account.

9. Use time buffers

Allow a 5-15 minute time gap between the sentences to be performed. This allows you to finish one task and catch a breath before proceeding to the next. Besides, the world is not perfect, some unforeseen circumstances may happen, and it is worth having some spare time.

Of course, these buffers should not be too large so as not to have "free downtime" and effectively use the 24h day.

10. Eliminate the time eaters

What is taking your time to work, perform productive tasks? Social media? Browsing websites on the Internet? Online shopping? Watching series? Write down what you spend time on, and then remove those activities that do not add value.

You can also make it difficult to use these distractions. Remove browser links to websites that are eating up your time. To enter it, you will have to enter the address, which is an extra effort.

If you watch too much TV, you can terminate the contract with the cable provider at all; you will save time and money that you can spend on something else, e.g., investing in yourself and your personal development.
