10 Ways to Save Morning Time
Start preparing for the eve.
Make a note of the to-do list the night before. Also, pack your wallet, laptop, mobile phone, and other necessary items in a bag and place it near the door. Make sure your keys and other things you need to bring with you the next day are also in front of the door. Finally, choose the clothes you intend to wear.
Go to bed on time.
Set a fixed time in bed every night and stick to it. If you go to bed late, you will get tired when the alarm goes off, and you will want to press the snooze button many times. Every time I press the snooze button, I'm wasting my time.
Rapid transition to wakefulness.
Waking up in a bad mood does not help you prepare quickly and efficiently. Two things you can do to wake up quickly are to open the curtains for the first sun in the morning and to drink a glass of water immediately after waking up to boost your metabolism.
Create a morning playlist and use it as a timer.
Getting ready in the morning means you can be confident that you are ready on time. And there's no better way to time yourself than to create a playlist of your favorite songs and use them as timers. You can try:
Make breakfast and serve your own coffee during the first song.
We have breakfast between the 2nd and 3rd songs.
Brush your teeth and brush your hair in the 4th song.
Shower during the 5th song.
Dressed during the 4th song.
Make up during the 4th song.
Streamline your morning maintenance routine.
You don't have to spend a lot of time preparing for the morning to feel and show your best. There are many ways to streamline your morning routine. For example, instead of applying a layer of lip liner and lipstick, just tap the lip gloss. Also, use spray lotion instead of cream-it's faster.
Rethink your morning routine.
Identify where you are wasting your morning time. Are you waiting in line for 15 minutes at Starbucks? Then you can save 15 minutes by getting a coffee maker with a timer and setting it to start brewing coffee a few minutes before the alarm goes off in the morning.
Please prepare a nutritious breakfast. Skipping breakfast to save time is a bad idea. However, you can save time by making a simple breakfast. For example, a Greek yogurt, muesli, or fruit breakfast is quick and easy to prepare, tastes good, and is perfect for you. Another strategy is to cook oatmeal overnight in a slow cooker so that you are ready when you wake up.
Have lunch the night before.
When making dinner, double the recipe. Then put some in a plastic container and put it in the fridge, and you're ready for lunch the next day.
Resist the temptation to go online
Resist the temptation to check your email and social media in the morning. It's easy to reply to a single email in a few. That way, instead of getting ready to go out, you can spend 20 minutes online.
Set a strict time to leave the house.
Tighten your time to leave home and use Parkinson's Law. Parkinson's law states that "work is extended to fill the time allotted for its completion." When applied in the morning, this means that if you don't set tight limits, it will take longer to prepare each morning.
