1.What does the word “BTS” stand for?

BTS stands for "Bangtan Sonyeondan" in Korean, which means "Bulletproof Scouts" in English. They are also known as "Bodan Shonendan" in Japan, similar to the Korean name. When they first signed under BIG HIT ENTERTAINMENT, Jungkook, V, RM, SUGA, J-HOPE, and Jimin chose to keep "Resistant to Bullet" as their band name. But they changed it later due to some reasons.

2.How many members are there in the group?

There are 7 members in the group, consisting of 4 vocalists Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, 3 rappers, RM(Rap Monster), the group leader, Suga, and J-Hope. They all have their own respective stage names except Jimin and Jungkook.

3.Do they produce their own music?

They produce most of their music. Each member plays a vital role in sharing their part in every discography. Rappers of the group, including Suga and Rap Monster, are getting recognition as Producers.

5.What ARMYs stand for?

ARMYs are one of the world’s biggest fandom. A.R.M.Y stands for “Adorable Representative M.C. For Youth.” This name is significant; it says that the “Army” word is linked with the military, protector, and how they are always gonna be together. BTS believes that without Army's support and love, they wouldn’t have made it this far.

6.Their Love towards ARMYs(their fans).

We can say that Armys are one of the luckiest fandoms. The insane amount of love they give to BTS is the same they receive from the boys. For BTS, armies are more than just fans; their relationship is deeper than just artists and fans. In many interviews, the members were asked ‘How much they love the army,’ and they all gave heartwarming responses.

J-Hope said that he always thinks about Army, and he is touched when the army sends them heartwarming messages.

Jimin showed his love for Armys by stating that their love for Armys is deeper than Army's love for them.

Jin couldn’t answer the question as he believes that the love between the army and  BTS can’t be explained in words.

Suga once stated that it’s too bad that he can’t express his feelings or love, so he is sometimes misunderstood. But he wanted the Army to know that he is always thinking about them, loves them, and is very thankful to have them in his life.

 

Jungkook expressed his love by replying to all the messages of Armys but also admitted that he is too shy to do something like this.

The leader, RM, loves to express his emotions by stating how much Armys means to him. He also hopes that the relationship Armys have with BTS goes deeper than just one between artists and fans.

V concluded by telling Armys that BTS will always give their best and work hard to become the artists they can be proud of and get closer to them.

 

7.BTS have made K-POP History.

Every time BTS releases any new album, it sets the group up for something bigger and better.  WINGS became one of the highest-charting, and best-selling K-Pop albums in the U.S. WINGS also appeared to be at No. 19 on Billboard’s Canadian Albums Chart and No.1 on the World’s Album Chart.

 BTS also stood apart and became the only Billboard 200 charting Korean act. No other largest South Korean agencies were able to trespass them, including YG Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment. Their reach was so wide that they extended to the Social 50, where they were at the top for the first time.

 

8.BTS Wasn’t Self Created.

This popular global sensation K-POP group was not self-created. An Entertainment company named Big Hit Entertainment, founded by Bang Shi Hyuk( PD-Nim), held auditions to recruit members starting from 2010.

 Kim Namjoon(RM) was the first member to join the group, followed by Min Yoongi(Suga), the second member to join BTS, Jung Hoseok(J-Hope), the third member to join BTS. He worked as a street dancer before joining BTS; Jungkook was the fourth member of BTS. He was the youngest member and was also studying in middle school, Kim Taehyung(V), the fifth member of BTS. He was a hidden member of BTS before the debut and was shown to the public close to their debut, Kim Seokjin(Jin), Sub Vocalist of the group and the eldest member of the group, and lastly, Jimin is the Main Dancer and Lead Vocalist of the group. And the group debuted on June 12th,2013.

 

9.RM, the translater of the group.

RM, the leader of BTS, is said that he learned English by watching one of the famous reality shows,” F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” In several International, Interviews, RM used to translate the question asked by the interviewers to the other members in Korean, so he is also known as the group's translator. Although other members are not so good at English, they are still trying to learn and improve their English.

 

10.BTS is more than just a BoyBand.

BTS, through music, their objective is to execute campaigns to stop the violence against teens and children nationwide. This campaign is known as the ‘Love Yourself’ campaign with UNICEF.
