The Indian stock market is predicted to open in the green, as the SGX Nifty index is expected to open with a 46-point gain, indicating a bullish start in India.
On September 3, the Sensex rose 277.41 points to 58,129.95, while the Nifty50 rose 89.40 points to 17,323.60, forming a bullish candle on the daily charts. On a weekly scale, the index gained more than 3.5 percent and formed a bullish candle.
The pivot charts show that the Nifty's important support levels are at 17,243.83, followed by 17,164.07. The major resistance levels to watch if the index rises are 17,371.73 and 17,419.87.

Markets in the US
The Nasdaq set a new high on Friday, but Wall Street's main indexes were mixed heading into the Labor Day weekend, reacting to lackluster US jobs report that reinforced concerns about the pace of economic recovery while weakening the case for a near-term reduction.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 74.47 points, or 0.21 percent, to 35,369.35, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.41 points, or 0.03 percent, to 4,535.54, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 32.34 points, or 0.21 percent, to 15,363.52.
Markets in Asia
On Monday, Asian stocks had a mixed start, with a disappointing US payrolls report promising to keep policy looser for longer but clouding the prospects for global growth and inflation. The Nikkei in Japan rose 1.7 percent, while the KOSPI in South Korea fell 0.1 percent. Futures on the Nasdaq scarcely changed, while those on the S&P 500 fell 0.1 percent.

The SGX Nifty is showing signs of a bullish start in India, with a 46-point rise. Around 07:30 IST, the Nifty futures were trading at 17,406 on the Singaporean Exchange. After two months of strong hiring, US hiring has slowed to barely 235,000 jobs. Employers in the United States gained only 235,000 jobs in August, a rather small increase following two months of strong hiring, and at a time when the delta variant's spread has deterred some people from traveling, shopping, and dining out.
From 5.4 percent in July, the jobless rate has reduced to 5.2 percent. Excise revenue for the government increased by 48 percent in April-July and is already three times the full fiscal oil bond burden.
Official data revealed that the government's revenue from the levy of excise duty on petroleum products increased by 48 percent in the first four months of this fiscal year, with the incremental mop-up being three times the payback burden of legacy oil bonds for the entire fiscal year.
Excise duty collections increased to over Rs 1 lakh crore in April-July 2021, according to data from the Union Ministry of Finance's Controller General of Accounts, up from Rs 67,895 crore in the previous fiscal.
Only petrol, diesel, ATF, and natural gas have been subject to excise duty since implementing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime. All other goods and services, except these, are subject to the GST.
