1. He was born in Chennai on July 12, 1972.
2. He studied at GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya and Vanavani Matriculation Higher Secondary School, which is situated inside the campus of IIT Chennai.
3. He completed his Bachelors's Degree in Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. He did his degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
