1. Burj Khalifa 

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, remains the tallest building in the world for the past decade. Completed in 2010, the building stands at an altitude of 2,717 feet. Construction began in 2004. It has a total of 163 floors. 

2. Shanghai Tower

China's Shanghai Tower stands 2,073 feet high. Built in 2015, it is the second largest in the world and has 128 floors. Its elevators run at 20.5 meters per second. The building has offices, shops and leisure facilities.

3. Makkah Royal Clock Tower

The Makkah Royal Clock Tower located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is 1,972 feet high and is currently known as the world's third-largest building. It was built in 2012, privately owned and costs about $ 15 billion. It is part of a seven-storey hotel complex.

4. Ping An Finance Center

Ping An Finance is the fourth largest building in the world. Built in Shenzhen, China, in 2017, it stands 1,965 feet high and 115 feet high. The building has offices, hotel and retail spaces, a conference center and a state-of-the-art shopping mall.

5. Lotte World Tower

Lotte World Tower is located in Seoul, South Korea, and was built in 2017. At 6,000 feet [1,819 m], the tower is the fifth-largest building in the world. It is built on 123 floors and has taken 13 years of spatial planning and renovation. It is now open to the public 24 hours a day. In 2016, Russian and Ukrainian urban explorer Vitaliy Raskalov of Ontheroofs rode free on top of the tower, and the escapade video has been viewed more than 4.6 million times and received worldwide media attention.

6. One World Trade Center

One World Trade Center, located at Big Apple, stands 1,776 meters high. It is the largest complex of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex. It remains the tallest building in the United States, and is the sixth longest in the world. The building was completed in 2014 and most of the offices are functional.

7. Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre

Built at 1,739 meters, the Guangzhou CTF Finance Center is currently the seventh tallest building in the world. Located in Guangzhou, China, the building was built in 2016. We have more than 111 floors and five basements. It has a shopping mall, offices, apartments and a hotel.

8. Tianjin CTF Finance Centre

The Tienjin CTF Finance Center is 1,739 meters tall, located in Tianjin, China. Construction began in 2013 and ended in 2019. The building has a hotel, apartments with services and offices.

9. CITIC Tower

The CITIC Tower stands 1,731 feet high and is the ninth highest building in the world. It is located in Beijing and was built in 2018. The 109-story building - also known as China Zun - is the tallest building in China.

10. Taipei 101 

At 1,667 square feet [1,667 sq m], the Taipei 101 - formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center in Taiwan - ranks 10th in the world's tallest building. It was built in 2004, considered to be the tallest building in the world until 2009, when the Burj Khalifa was built in Dubai.
