Before going into further details, we have to understand that what is unemployment? It is the term being used while a person has secured appropriate skills, education and is jobless. Despite having the complete pre-requisites, when a person cannot find a job, it's known as unemployment. To meet the day-to-day livelihood and other expenses, it is necessary to do some job and earn a livelihood.
The world over reasons for unemployment might be different, but in the majority, these are identical. Somewhere finding jobs is difficult due to nepotism, bribe, or recommendations. At the same time, in other parts of the world, the reasons may pertain to applicants belonging to low caste or gender discrimination. Unemployment is the leading and most prominent issue of underdeveloped countries.

1) Slow Economic Growth
As we know that economic growth in underdeveloped countries is prolonged and on the significantly lower side. Therefore, opportunities for employment by establishing new industries and setups do not become possible for such countries with low growth rates while the population stands increasing. This factor is rising unemployment.
2) Caste Discrimination
In some parts of the world, this issue is much prominent and has the worst effects. Where caste discrimination prevails, jobs to the low caste people are not given. Although they qualify and fulfill the merits, discriminative behavior is maintained.
3) High Population
Rapid population growth is the main factor in unemployment. Due to the low literacy rates in the underdeveloped countries and none awareness family planning is not carried out, and the population is increasing. The ratio of annual jobs fallen vacant or newly created are far less than that of the unemployed people; therefore, securing a job is too much complicated.
4) Scarcity of Hard Working
Although there is a high unemployment ratio at the same time, it is not out of place to mention that we are not ready to work hard or accept challenging tasks. If Jobs are not available, we can earn a handsome amount through agriculture, which requires struggle and hard work. No doubt agriculture is a seasonal activity, but we can get a good income in both seasons. We will have to review our options and behavior to stand helpful not only for personal gain but can help our family members through this sector. At the same time, we can go for livestock farming, but such sorts of activities need hard work for which we are not ready.
5) Slow Industrialization
Due to low GDP, energy crises, and inflation, expansion in industrialization has been withheld. Whenever new industries are established, job opportunities emerge continuously. Especially establishment of new small and cottage industries is accommodating in job creation, but in the underdeveloped countries, this process has gone lower.
6) None Investment by the Local or International Investors
The underdeveloped countries already suffering from several problems could not make savings through which new jobs could have been created. Similarly, there are security, law, and order problems in such countries where new investors hesitate to invest due to unpredictable situations.
7) Defective Planning
To run the affairs of a state or business, proper and adequate planning has a top priority. Due to specific reasons and improper planning, the countries of the 3rd world, which are known as underdeveloped, do not plan appropriately according to the demand-supply condition. So due to defective planning, they can't utilize their resources in a productive manner which could help them maximize jobs.
8) Lake of Technical & professional education
Every one of us knows very well that an educated person could better utilize the opportunities and resources through gained and secured knowledge; still, unluckily in underdeveloped countries, the Governments do not address this issue. We don't use our abilities to bring innovations and improvement in our resources for gaining much more return.
9) Mobility of labor
The mobility of labor is also an issue in underdeveloped countries. Due to social values, attachment to the families, language, environment, or climatic reasons, some people don't want to move to other countries, and they can't stay away from their families. The found opportunity of a job is often lost.
10) Brain Drain and overseas employment
It is generally a big problem in underdeveloped countries that well-educated peopldon't’t prefer to stay in their countries, and often other countries offer competent, educated people jobs. Such people can stay helpful for their own countries in proper planning and its spiritual implementation, but unluckily the scenario is against reality. Such job offers to well-versed and competent people in other countries is known as brain drain as the developed countries take them away and utilize their abilities for themselves.
