1. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan
This fort is located on the border of the Sari ska Reserves in Rajasthan. Many people say that this fort is haunted, and they hear some whispering voices.
This fort was built in 16th century 1573 and was built by Raja Bhagwat Dasfor his younger brother. This fort is considered so dangerous that even the Archeological Survey of India has legally banned anyone from entering this fort after dark.
In the 16th century, a priest fell in love with Ratnavati, the princess of Bhangarh. After knowing, it was a hopeless match, he decided to use magic to seduce her. The princess uncovered his plans and sent him to death.
Before his death, he cursed the palace to doom and the town to be roofless and miserable forever. The people of that village believe that if anyone enters that fort after dark won't be back again, so visit at your own risk.
2. Kuldhara village, Rajasthan
This is an abandoned village in Rajasthan, India. In the 13th century, it was once a prosperous village inhabited by Brahmin. This village got abandoned in the 19th century for no reason.
Over the years, Kuldhara was considered a haunted site, so the government decided to make it a tourist place in 2010. They say that the minister of the state was fallen in a love with a girl from the village, and he imposed huge taxes upon the entire village unless they married her to him.
To protect the honor of the girl, the chief of Kuldhara and surrounding areas abandoned their villages, and cursed the land to remain unoccupied for eternity.
3. Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal
Kurseong is a town and municipality in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Victoria Boys high school and Dow hill Girls boarding school are believed to be the residence of many spirits, whose footsteps can be heard echoing through the hallways.
There have been countless murdered bodies found in the woods surrounding schools, and several locals and tourists reported that they were followed by a headless boy who then disappeared into the woods.
4. Dumas Beach, Gujarat
Dumas Beach is a rural beach along the Arabian Sea located in Surat, Gujarat. This beach is famous for being in the list of the top 35 haunted places in India.
This beach is known for its black sand and is considered to be haunted because it once it was used to be a Hindu burial site. There have been reports that people hear crying and shouting noises after the dark and if anyone visits that beach after dark disappear in the water forever.
5. Jatinga, Assam
This is a tiny village in Assam with a small population of 2500 has one of the most puzzling phenomena in the world, namely the recurring mass of bird suicides.
For centuries now, local and migratory birds plummet to the ground in a large number of moonless nights of September and October only in a specific area this had baffled scientists who can't find any reasonable justification for birds dropping dead from the sky in such a pattern and it's extremely disturbing.
6. Lambi Dehar Mines
Once a fully operational lime mine employing thousands of workers, the Lambi Dehar Mines of Mussoorie are now abandoned and are considered to be one of the scariest places in India.
Due to hazardous working conditions, the lack of safety regulations, and accidents, countless workers died in the mines and are now to be said to haunt the tunnels. A strange voice of crying and shouting comes from here.
7. Agrasen Ki Baoli, New Delhi
This intricately build an ancient place in Delhi is an architectural masterpiece and is protected by ASI. Locals from here believe that this place is haunted by ghosts and satanic demons who lurk in shadows following visitors around.
Tourists have complained about feeling uncomfortable and a very bad and scared feeling once they enter the place.
8. Ramoji Film City
This place is one of the most famous film cities in India. This place was built over the remain of dead soldiers of the sultanate, whose restless souls haunt the film city till today.
It's been reported that a Stuntman gets injured in even a small stunt, the lights go off automatically, the cameras get turned off automatically, the mirrors get marked and equipment is destroyed regularly.
People seem to get locked in rooms automatically and their clothes get torn by invisible forces.

This Chawl is located in a populated area in Mumbai. The locals reported that ghost sightings of a lady who waits somewhere secretly at night and vanishes with a trace once the sun is up.
The locals believe that she was an old lady who fell into a well and was drowning, she was asking for help shouting, but nobody heard that and nobody helped her.

The lawyers who work in Bombay High Court believe that one of the courtrooms is haunted by a vengeful tortured soul who restricts the entry of the accused into the courtroom.
