If you're a stylist, Anderson advises, “Tilt the client's head forward and make your blunt cuts with a clipper, from the bottom up in sections to the same length. This will create the hard edge you are looking for. Do the same with these heavy bangs at the desired length. Don't forget to tilt the head in the opposite direction to cross-check your work and make sure there are zero tags. Next lift the hair 90° from the head with a comb and soften the blunt edge a bit by cutting deep into the edge. Repeat until desired effect is achieved. Don't do this step for Banks”
