The Top 10 Most Anticipated Video Games of 2022

We'll be counting down our picks for the top 10 most anticipated games of 2022 for this list we're looking at all the games we can't wait to see next year, let us know in the comments which ones you're the most excited for. 

No 10. Baldur's Gate 3

Though, it landed in early access back in 2020. This RPG is finally slated to have its full release in 2022 it's coming from Larian studios which any RPG buff will immediately recognize as the decorated studio behind the divinity series itself one of the most popular RPG franchises out there Larian has taken the torch from Bioware to return to balder's gate to its former glory visions rushes past.

The dragon's wing a silver sword and a flash of your face seen through the strange woman's eyes maybe you've already jumped into the game in early access to give your feedback, or maybe you've been waiting until its full release to have as fresh an experience as possible, whatever the case 2022 is set to be a great year for fans of fast complicated role-playing games.

No 9. Pokemon legends Arceus

Finally, a true open-world Pokemon game is on the horizon slated for release next year it's going to be an action RPG rather than a traditional turn-based game in what could be one of the biggest evolutions of the franchise since Pokemon Go. 

It's set in The Hague region before it had that name and will chart the history of pokemon training if you're still a little skeptical after sword and shield's less than glowing reception then remember this you're going to be able to ride your Pokemon as mounts throughout the open world that alone should sell millions of people on game freak's next big outing from one of the world's most beloved IPS. 

No 8. Vampire the Masquerade Swan

I've fallen in love and stood by as love died and what do I have to show for it nothing this franchise has been through a lot in recent years since the bombshell that vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2 was looking for a new development studio it's not been clear where the series is going but 2022 should hopefully see the release of a totally different game in the series, 

Swansong which will take us to Boston rather than Seattle or la tonight, we revolutionize the blood supply a new era is upon us, you won't be creating your own character instead of taking on the mantle of three existing vampires and choosing how to develop their builds and play styles, but importantly it is still a single-player RPG, and it's going to be coming to all major platforms including last-gen in February. 

No 7. Gotham Knights

The next outing from web games Montreal Gotham Knights is set in a separate continuity to the previous Arkham games Bruce Wayne is dead, and he's left the protection of Gotham city in the hands of his most trusted allies robin. Nightwing Batgirl and the red hood it's a single-player game that will let you play as any of the four leads with optional co-op as you hunt down the court of owls.

We also supposedly have rock steady's suicide squad kill the justice league releasing next year but as we're not sure Warner brothers will actually release both of them in the same year, we're not as confident we'll see it in 2022.

No 6. Dying light to Stay Human

Do you need allies in the dark will be dying light 2 finally release next year it's supposed to, though the game has been delayed so many times even tech land has made jokes about it's going to be a major evolution of the platforming zombie killing gameplay we got to know and love in the first game in a new setting simply called the city help or harm them to reshape the city to your liking just remember each faction contains complex characters?

Everything is working in this game's favor to make it one of the biggest titles of the year and if Declan delivers on finessing the dying light formula just like it promises it really can't fail it'll be four years on from the original announcement but hopefully, it will finally reach players in February

No 5. Starfield

They say the wonder is not that the field of stars is so vast but that we have measured it, admittedly we're skeptical about whether.

Bethesda is going to make this release the date we've seen no real gameplay from Starfield and only one brief cinematic trailer this could mean there's no gameplay to show or perhaps that Todd Howard is just keeping his cards close to his chest this is all we've been working towards regardless of new Bethesda game is always going to be unmatched in the release schedule, and we absolutely can't wait to play it however it's going to be on the game past day one and still looks like it's going to be an Xbox and pc exclusive but with a tentative release date of November 11th, 2022 you've got plenty of time to get a device capable of running this game. 

No 4. Horizon Forbidden West

The much-awaited follow-up to a gorilla the games are dynamite 2017 title we can't wait to play forbidden west we'll see Eloy going to the San Francisco Bay Area has already seen the Golden Gate Bridge on the cover art pursue silence who's likely planning to resurrect Hades again for his own.

Currently, unknown ends but the one thing everybody is talking about where forbidden west is concerned are the graphics it looks stunning and that's even more impressive considering the game is meant to come to PS4 as well as PS5 this also means that if you still don't have a PS5 don't worry you'll still, be able to play this game you always said a storm was coming yeah, and it's almost.

No 3. Elden ring

We know for a lot of people Elden ring is hands down their most anticipated game of the next year, but it's not our number one because as great as software's games are they're just not for everyone, but we still believe Elden ring has the potential to be the studio's best game.

Yet as every new game of theirs seems to become the team-up of Hirotaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin is unprecedented in gaming, and we know it's going to have some outstanding lore to go with its moment-to-moment gameplay in February and March is going to be completely absorbed by people playing Elden ring and there's no doubt that it will be one of the best games of the year. 

No 2. God of war Ragnarok

I will not allow you to pick a fight with God, I don't want to fight anyone. I just want answers originally it was believed the Norse God of war games would be a trilogy, but that's not the case Ragnarok will conclude the story making it even more anticipated than it already was we know the game will be set in fimble winter which in Norse mythology leads up to Ragnarok where the Norse pantheon will ultimately perish as prophesized maybe that's what mother won we do not know what mother what well.

I recognize that double expression anywhere, but whether Kratos or Atreus are successful at averting Ragnarok. If that's even possible all remains to be seen we're also going to see Freyja return in some capacity and of course, we'll finally get to go toe-to-toe with Thor himself it's not clear when in 22 it will drop but like the horizon, it's also slated to hit the PS4 before we unveil our top pick here are a few honorable mentions of Lego Star Wars.

The Skywalker saga this much-delayed title will be the defining Lego Star Wars experience reach out Splatoon 3 one of Nintendo's biggest multiplayer properties is set for an update straight you're playing like a lost cat in a cyberpunk dystopia along his journey the cat will meet a small drone named b12.

No 1. The Legend of Zelda's breath of the wild 2

We still don't have a title set in stone for this game let alone a concrete release date, but it will have been an entire five years since the release of the breath of the wild, and we're desperate to see the series continue in this direction details are still pretty thin on the ground, but we know it is a direct sequel to the previous game, and it's going to be set in Hyrule once more thankfully.

We've had plenty of recent Zelda releases to Titus, over from the remake of a link to the past to the skyward sword HD, but nothing will scratch that itch like a full sequel to one of the greatest video games ever made.
