varma kalai :
silambam or kalari payattu , the most lethal and dangerous martial arts in the world , as per my research its is the ancient of all the Egyptians, capoeira ,judo , american boxing these are well known deadly martial arts but this varma kalai moves a step ahead into medical science , it is art of healing a human which can be harmed too !!!!all the martial arts goes to the end searching for vital points even karate,kung-fu,ju jitsu, taekwondo, jeet kune do ,etc

Here , it is the study of vital points to heal and harm , to harm is big part of this subject
one must be ready in his soul and body to learn it from (Asan ) teacher he must qualify to control his brain and anger ,selfishness(not use for his own purpose), etc and he must learn to heal the opponent
before he strike , this is because we (tamils, malayallis,) South Indian strictly belive in karma !!! which good deed brings good and bad deed brings bad , killing a human is a sin but making him a living dead is more than killing , to avoid the bad deed to get into our decendents we must learn to heal
TO Heal is another big part of this subject its like to be a doctor , learning about human body
all the bones, nerves, blood vessels ( arteries n veins) , preasure, time , vibrations, emotions etc
we believe that There are more than 40,000 Varma points in our human body, of which 108 points are considered very important and critical. The “7 Chakras” in our human body also plays a major role in Varmakalai.
