Leaders are people with high potential and influence, who act as role models and mentors to others. They also have clear goals and visions that they work towards achieving and maintain to achieve those goals, with a commitment to make sure that the vision and vision are realized. The person in charge at any given time is called leadership, which means that it is not a title but a process involving someone's actions and decisions. A leader can possess several characteristics and skills

There are differences between leadership styles. Some styles include democratic, autocratic, delegation, laissez-faire, laissez-faire, laissez-faire, servant, unstructured, transactional. Below are some important differences.

 

1) Democratic – Democratic leadership involves giving subordinates, and even upper management staff, equal power to advise on daily operations. Furthermore, all employees should be treated as equals, and no one should be superior to the other. An approach like this means that all stakeholders, including employees, play an active part in decision-making.

 

2) Autocratic – This type makes workers work without getting any input. Employees are expected to follow orders without question. Only people who are considered experts in a given field are allowed to make decisions.

 

3) Laissez-Faire – It means letting things happen naturally without having to force or pressure anyone to do something. At times, it seems like the company is run in anarchy; however, this approach helps employees work properly.

 

4) Laissez-Faire – Laissez-Faire leadership tends to focus on employees' capabilities rather than trying to direct or coach them.

 

5) Servant leadership focuses on bringing out talents. It is based on trustful and mutual respect between the leader and his employees.

 

6) Unstructured leadership is just about showing the power and controlling everyone in a very informal manner. Generally speaking, this type of leadership ensures that everything is done manually and everyone should just show that they know what they are doing.

 

7) Transactional leadership focuses on the results. All employees are focused on obtaining the outcome of the project rather than focusing on its personality. Everyone is supposed to perform.

 

8) Bureaucratic leadership refers to the traditional management style characterized by centralized structures, rules, processes, procedures, hierarchy, centralized communication channels, standardization of policies, rules, techniques, etc.

 

9) Unstructured leadership is focused on feelings. No one is told of the behavior or conduct that is expected of him or her.

 

10) Hierarchical leadership is mostly used in middle management and consists of four elements: top management, middle management and lower executives. Typically, it means the hierarchical structure of an organizational setting, which implies division of labor. Hierarchy also applies to an institutional setting, such as colleges and universities.

 

To have effective leadership, one must be a good communicator, a good listener, and a good problem solver. Effective leaders know how to listen well and positively talk about issues. Additionally, effective leaders know how to solve problems tactfully, using brainstorming as one technique to look for solutions. Another important skill a good leader needs to have is to be confident, confident without being cocky. Lastly, a leader needs to deeply understand the context, job description, tasks and relationships within and outside an organization. Besides, the person is accountable to others and should always be ready to take responsibility when needed.
