Top 10 important sections of psychology

THE SECTION OF PSYCHOLOGY, 

It is the study of mind and human behavior.  By psychology, we can learn that how people think, act and feel. By Increasing the understanding level of psychology can help people achieve their purpose of life and goals. They also get idea about others thinking  as well as a better understanding of other people. Psychology is the study of human thought, behavior, development, personality, emotion, motivation, and more. For all of these things there have emerged different subfields and specialty areas. Among these, I highlighted 10 important sections.

1. Abnormal psychology,

 It is the study of human behavior and psychopathology. This specialty area is focused on research and treatment of a variety of mental disorders and is linked to psychotherapy and clinical psychology. It focuses on the patterns of emotion, thought, and behavior that can be signs of a mental health. Psychologist in this field focus on the level of distress that behaviors, thoughts, or emotions might cause.

 When a behavior is creating problems in a person's life or is disruptive to other people, then that would be an "abnormal" behavior. Sometimes  the behavior may require some type of mental health intervention.

2. Biological psychology

  There we can learn how biological processes  influence the mind and behavior. This is also 

 nearly  linked to neuroscience and utilizes

 tools such as MRI and PET scans to look at

 brain injury or brain abnormalities. It also called

 physiological psychology or behavioral   neuroscience, the study of the physiological

 bases of behavior. Biological psychology is

 caring primarily with the relationship   between psychological processes and the underlying physiological events-or, in othe words, the mind-body phenomenon. Its focus is the function of the brain and the rest of the nervous system in activities (e.g., thinking, learning, feeling, sensing, and perceiving) acknowledged  as characteristic of humans and

 other animals.

3. Clinical psychology

  It is examined on the  assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental  disorders. It is an integration of science, theory,  and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychologically-based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well-being and personal development.  I11121 Central to its practice are psychological assessment, clinical formulation and psychotherapy, although clinical psychologists also engage in research, teaching, consultation, forensic testimony, and program development and administration. In many countries, clinical psychology is a regulated mental health profession.

 

 4. Cognitive psychology

 It is the study of human thought processes including attention, memory, perception, decision-making, problem-solving, and language acquisition. Cognitive psychology, involves the study of internal mental processes-all of the things that go on inside your brain, including perception, thinking, memory, attention, language, problem-solving, and learning. While it is a relatively young branch of psychology, it has quickly grown to become one of the most popular subfields.

5. Comparative psychology,

 It is a section of psychology concerned with the study of animal behavior. It can generally be determined as the branch of psychology that studies the similarities and differences in the behavior of organisms. 

6. Developmental psychology

 It is an area that looks at human growth and development over the lifespan including cognitive abilities, morality, social functioning, identity, and other life areas. There we learn how and why human beings are changing day by day.

7. Forensic psychology,

 It is an applied field key on using psychological research and principles in the legal and criminal justice system. It is a subfield of psychology, involves the application of psychological, knowledge and methods to both  civil and criminal legal questions. Overall , it has a broad definition as well as a narrow definition.

8. Industrial psychology,

 It is a field that uses psychological research to enhance work performance and select employees. In this section, industrial psychologist observe human behaviors and actions. After these, they find a suitable candidate for a industrial job.

9. Personality_psychology

It is a section of psychology where we learn about individual thoughts or feelings. It keys  on understanding how personality develops as well as the patterns of thoughts, behaviors, and characteristics which can make each individual unique. There we study about human personality and how it varies to others.

10. Social psychology

 It focuses on group behavior, social influences  on individual behavior, attitudes, prejudice,  conformity, aggression, and related topics.  In   Social psychology we learn how presence and behavior of others influences on individual, group or social behavior.
