Due to their cultural significance, many ancient sites in India are mentioned as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
If we're talking about famous historical sites in India, the list goes on and on.
Numerous places in India, from the east to the west and from the north to the south, possess their roots in the country's glorious and rich history.
Some are incredibly unique and exciting and well touristy.
1.TAJ MAHAL
If you are interested in India's most famous historical sites, then the Taj Mahal is at the top of the list.
It was built by Shah Jahan in 1632 to commemorate his love for his wife, Mumtaz. This 22-year-old monument is built only on white stone and is the first in the world.
Even more amazing is that the emperor cut off the fingers of those who built this monument so that similar monuments could not be designed and built in the future.

2.THE GOLDEN TEMPLE

7.SUN TEMPLE

10.RANI KI BHAV
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is also identified as the Queen's Stepwell.
Queen Udayamati, the wife of King Bhimdev I (of the Solanki dynasty), had it constructed in the eleventh century as a commemoration to her husband.
Vishnu's multi-story pavilions with sculptural columns and panels are 64 meters and 27 meters deep, respectively. The side walls are also carved with apsaras (heavenly women).
As part of Rani Udayamati's tribute to her late husband Bhimdev IA 1304, the Jain monk Merutunga completed the step-well after 20 years of work.
