The History of Peanut Butter

Marcellus Gilmore Edison obtained the first patent of producing peanut butter from roasted peanuts using heated surfaces in 1884. Joseph Lambert developed early Peanut Butter making machines. A chemist named Joseph Rosefield invented a process for creating smooth peanut butter.

1. Crunchy Peanut Butter-
Some coarsely grounded peanuts are added to make the peanut butter crunchy and to add some extra texture.
2. Creamy / Smooth Peanut Butter-
Peanuts are ground uniformly in smooth peanut butter, which creates a creamy texture.
