Top 10 Gift ideas for Entrepreneurs

Books for Business and Entrepreneurship

  1. Hourglass Timer

When it comes to time management, I’ve always struggled, but an hourglass helps keep me on track and makes me feel much more efficient in my daily activity.

Previously I would use my phone timer to try and stay focused when completing a task. The problem with a phone is that you have a ton of distractions, and you constantly keep checking to see how much time you have left.

Last year, I was given an hourglass as a present, which has helped immensely with productivity and time management. Now I flip the hourglass and work on my project, free from distractions.

There is no buzzer to break my concentration once the time has elapsed. If I’m in the zone, I continue working and stop for a break only when I need to. No longer do I feel I’m racing the clock.

The hourglass also gives you a visual sense of how quickly time passes – this helps fight procrastination. Hourglasses are also great for relaxation. I can watch the sand trickle through and just get lost in thought.

If you buy someone one of these and the Hatch Notebook, you have given them two gifts that will help them develop their creativity and entrepreneurial flair. Hourglasses are affordable, look great, and help to keep someone focused.

9 – Exercise Resistance Bands

Entrepreneurs lead busy lifestyles and work long hours, often extending beyond the typical 9 to 5. As a result, it can be difficult for them to find the time to exercise, which can cause them to feel sluggish and lack motivation.

These Black Mountain resistance bands can be used for various workouts and allow the user to target specific body areas. They are simple, easy to use, and highly compact.

They don’t take up much space, making them great for business owners, entrepreneurs, and creatives that travel a lot. A perfect gift for those in business that enjoys fitness but struggle to find the time to get to the gym

8 – Universal Power Bank

There are few things more frustrating than being disconnected when you’re on an important call or your battery running out when you’re waiting for an email from a client.

That’s why a universal power bank like the Aukey Power Bank is perfect for charging mobile devices while on the go and great for those entrepreneurs that travel.

These affordable units don’t take up much space, fit easily in your carry-on luggage, and can be an absolute lifesaver while you’re out and about and need some extra charge for a device.

Just remember to buy one with two outlets and a minimum of 20000mAh, so you have plenty of charges. With this power bank, the entrepreneur never has to miss out again and can keep connected wherever they are.

7 – (Aqua Notes) Water Proof Note Pad

One of the best ideas comes to mind when you’re in no position to record them. Like most people, my best ideas don’t go in meetings or the office but instead unwinding in the shower free from distractions. The problem is you have no way of recording those ideas…

Enter Aqua waterproof notepads. These convenient notepads are great for writing down ideas in the shower before they’re forgotten and perfect for organizing thoughts. No longer will you need to worry about those great ideas going down the drain.

Aqua notepads can be purchased as a single item or as a twin pack. I use the tablet daily; the pencil works excellent, my writing has never smeared, and water is constantly sprayed on the pages.

6 – Hatch Business Project Notebook

If you’re buying for the entrepreneur that has plenty of ideas but doesn’t know where to begin, then this notebook by Hatch will help bring those ideas to life.

The notebook was designed and made specifically for entrepreneurs, project managers, and creative and includes questions and resources to help develop ideas.

The hatch notebook helps unlock creativity with designated pages for brainstorming, outlining ideas, recording possible challenges, and setting action plans.

This well-made notebook is compact enough to carry around with you while also providing enough space for ideas and thoughts to flow.

Suppose you know someone has several ideas floating around in their head. In that case, this notebook will help them pull everything together, fully scope out the pictures and decide on subsequent stages of development and an action plan.

  1. Audible Gift Membership – Audio Books

Still can’t decide what book to buy the entrepreneur? Why not buy them a subscription to audible so they can decide for themselves. That way, they can listen to great books (like the ones mentioned above) while they’re on the go.

I think all successful entrepreneurs have in common a thirst for learning and gaining knowledge. Audible is a beautiful tool for helping them do just that. The benefit of audible over traditional books is that someone can listen to a book anytime, anywhere.

With over 200,000+ titles in their library, there is guaranteed to be something for everybody. Members receive access to 1 book credit per month. All they need to do is download the app, and they will have access to the book wherever they are. Perfect for listening to while commuting, on flights, or just before bed.

Audible also offers an awesome listen-to guarantee, so if someone isn’t happy with their selection, they can exchange it for another title. Gift memberships are available for purchase for 3, 6, and 12 months.

4 – How is it possible to Tell Your Story in a Noisy Social network

In Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook, Gary Vaynerchuk shows the reader how to use the power of the Internet to turn interests and passion into real businesses. This book contains the best of the authors' earlier books, Crush It! and The Thank You Economy but with a fresh spin and updated content.

Vaynerchuk is well-known on the internet as an expert when it comes to all things social media. In this book, he shares his hard-won advice on connecting with customers and beating the competition.

GaryVee spent many years building his family business from a local alcohol shop into a national industry as a leader. Then, he turned on a camcorder one day, Wine Library TV was born, and business success soon followed.

Using Stories for Brand Identity and Building Trust

Vaynerchuk explains the logical importance of storytelling in the social network marketing and business branding world. Through case studies and the author’s experiences, Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook gives readers the ultimate blueprint for a modern-day web-based business.

In a boxing match, a fighter doesn’t come out and throw big hay-makers in the first round – if they do, they’ll likely tire or be on their back very quickly.

Instead, they’ll throw a few jabs, and when they see the right opportunity, they’ll then throw the right hook. The same should be done with business and social media.

Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook will explain to readers how to get started (build an audience), help them identify goals, and deliver a winning combination of both small and big blows.

Vaynerchuk’s concept of jab, jab, jab, (or give, give, give) then right hook (or ask for the sale) is an excellent concept that any person involved in business or sales should learn to follow.

Gary Vaynerchuk has written the definitive how-to guide for social media. This is about business through the internet and the internet only. I’ve read many books on social media, which is the best I’ve read by far. This book is simple, straight to the point, and very effective.

3 – The E-Myth Revisited

I consider this book the small business bible. It is the first book any small business owner should purchase.

The E-Myth Revisited is well structured and written in a way that is very easy to understand. Gerber points out the common pitfalls that aspiring entrepreneurs or business owners encounter with their businesses.

He looks at the number one cause of failure: the owner’s desire to work IN the business rather than ON it. Once someone recognizes this, they can then review their current model and structure their business more efficiently.

He walks the reader through the steps in the life of a business from entrepreneurial infancy, then through to adolescent growing pains, and then finally on to the mature entrepreneurial perspective.

After someone has read this book, they’ll be able to look at their business with fresh eyes and grow it more productively and healthily.

The book changes the perception of what it means to own a business and gives new business owners and entrepreneurs valuable tips for succeeding.

This book will save business owners from many years of unnecessary stress and money. If someone owns a small business or is looking to start one, then they need this book!

2 – The Four-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich

This is second on my all-time favorite books, behind only Think and Grow Rich (See above). I’ve read many books on personal development and business, and this one stands out as one of the best.

First, let me start by saying this book isn’t rich, although I can see how the book title may give that impression. The 4 Hour Workweek instead provides inspiration and practical advice that will help the reader attain goals in both work and play.

The 4-Hour Workweek spent several years on The New York Times bestseller list, and for a good reason. Tim Ferris has produced one of the best books on personal development and work/life balance ever written.

In the book, he shares his secrets to rearranging life and freeing up time to focus energy on what’s critical instead of what isn’t.

Ferris goes into detail about creating an internet business strategy that can lead to wealth while also allowing free time to pursue other things in life.

Learn How to Live More and Work Less

I also like how Ferris points out why bigger goals are often easier to reach than smaller ones. The smaller the plan, the more competition you’ll have; the more precise the goal, the less competition.

This section will likely cause an “Aha” moment and get you rethinking your own business and life goals.

I love this book because it validates my feelings about balancing one’s work and life. This book made a more significant impression on me because I was already halfway along the described journey. What the book provided me with were several chapters on how I can complete that journey.

As is the case with any personal development, life coaching, or business book, you need to find one page or sentence that resonates with you and makes the purchase worthwhile (this has many of them).

The 4 Hour Work Week combines the best of personal development and business books, which is why this book beats all the rest.

Every entrepreneur should own this book. The resources in the book alone are worth a whole lot more than the purchase price. Buy this for someone, and you could change their life.

1 – Think and Grow Rich

In my opinion, this book by Napoleon Hill is the best book on entrepreneurship, personal development, and success is ever written (and I’ve read hundreds of them).

Initially published in 1937, the book remains a classic, and the content and principles in ‘Think and Grow Rich’ are just as relevant today as they were in the early twentieth century. If you’re buying a gift for any budding entrepreneur, then this should be it!

Napoleon Hill spent 25 years researching the book before publication. In those 25 years, he interviewed and spent time with forty millionaires (millionaires in 1937!) to learn their secrets to success. In this book, he imparts that knowledge to the reader and covers everything from perseverance to idea generation to organized planning and so much more.

Once the reader has finished the book, they will better understand what is needed to gain an edge in business. They will learn the seventeen principles to success (not only in business but in any area of life).

A Must Own Book for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners

Think and Grow Rich is the master of all success books. This book started the personal development and self-help industry as its known today.

I have read it many times over, and it’s incredible how many things you’ll discover upon each reading. I own two copies of this book (one with a ton of notes on it and the other without) and have purchased this for friends as well.

This is a must-own for any business owner and those starting up. If they haven’t read this book yet, then get it for them… this book will change their life.

Buy two copies and keep one for yourself! This book isn’t only great for those interested in business but anyone that has goals or looking for success in any field or industry.
