Since a paragliding accident, a Parisian aristocrat, who has quadriplegia, hires a young man to be his live-in caretaker. Although very different, the two men bond and develop a close friendship. Thereafter their friendship changes the life of both. This heart-touching film is available on Netflix.

 

 

3.Children of men 2006:

When infertility threatens humanity with extinction and the last child born has perished, a disillusioned bureaucrat becomes the unlikely champion in the fight for the survival of Earth's population. He must face down his own demons and protect the planet's last remaining hope from danger. This dystopian future movie tells us that humanity must face the consequences if the human race continues to go on this path.

4.Moonlight 2016:

Moonlight is a symbol of one's innermost self. It is under the blue moonlight that people discover who they truly are and their hidden desires. The entire movie has been about Chiron's search for identity, and he has done so at the beach under the moonlight, sharing physical and emotional intimacy with Kevin. This Oscar won film definitely is a good film to watch.

 

 

5.Captain Phillips 2013:

The movie has a global message about how terrorists aren't the only threats and that poverty can also be a powerful enemy to peace and civilization. The movie also applauds Captain Phillips' ability to bravely and calmly be a selfless leader who cares more about his crew's safety than his own.

6.Invictus 2009:

After his 27‑year imprisonment and subsequent election as President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela faces the task of unifying a country divided by race. Only months since the end of Apartheid, divisions still exist between the country's whites and blacks, something Mandela notices during an international rugby match. Nelson Mandela decides to unite the nation by supporting the country's Rugby team to win the Rugby world cup.

 

 

7.Vertigo 1958:

This exciting thriller is directed by one of the great directors of the industry Alfred Hitchcock. An ex-police officer who suffers from an intense fear of heights is hired to prevent an old friend's wife from committing suicide, but all is not as it seems. Hitchcock's haunting, compelling masterpiece is uniquely revelatory about the director's own predilections and hang-ups and is widely considered one of his masterworks.

8.Logan Lucky 2017:

The story centers on two brothers who are wounded war veterans Jimmy Logan who lost his leg and working as a coal miner, and his brother Clyde Logan who lost his arm now works at a bar as a bartender. One day Jimmy loses his job and plans to rob a racing circuit in North Carolina, the USA, with the help of their sister Mellie Logan, friend and explosives specialist Joe Bang, and his brothers. This odd heist movie is fun and an interesting watch, not a regular heist movie we see.

 

 

9.Fight Club 1999:

A depressed man (The Narrator) with insomnia meets a strange soap salesman named Tyler Durden and soon finds himself living in his squalid house after his perfect apartment is destroyed. The two bored men form an underground club with strict rules and fight other men fed up with their mundane lives. This thriller/drama movie is an intelligent and interesting watch.

 

 

10. The Shawshank Redemption 1994:

Andy Dufresne, a banker, is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. While there, he forms a friendship with Red, experiences the brutality of prison life, adapts, helps the warden,  all in 19 years. However, only Andy knows he didn't commit the crimes.
